Fabulous pub! We went there for the first time for our anniversary last week and the service was quick and very good even though they were very busy. Went for a meal with friends whilst on holiday back home in Devon, service was really friendly and the food was outstanding. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely go back when next visiting home again!!!
We went on a Wednesday for Steak night the good was fantastic and also the service including to our dog who was brought fresh water with our own drinks. Highly recomend

A friendly and characterful pub perfect for a post-run pint. The sort of countryside pub you imagine, with nice real ales and sleeping spaniels (although disappointingly, no Examples of the eponymous reed)

Brilliant food and service. Popped in for an evening meal on Steak night Wednesday and they were cooked to perfection. Waitress recommended the hand cut chips and she was right! So good.

The pub itself is newly refurbished and is beautifully clean and very obviously cared for.

Update: a few months later and some of us visited again, and once again everything was spot on. The roasts here are fantastic.

I have to say the food here is absolutely fantastic. I had the 8oz Sirloin steak and it was one of the best I have tasted in years.
