Food here is absolutely delicious. Glad we listened to local recommendations before visiting. Would definately recommended. We had large poppadoms and chutney tray. Bombay lamb, very tender mouth watering lamb with a kick. Chicken korma, delicious. Peshwari naan yum. xx
What a fantastic place! Went with my friends and children, tried loads of dishes, all fantastic, the Railway lamb melted in my mouth, the chicken korma was the best korma I've ever had, and my youngest who is not a fish lover absolutely loved the fish bites. I also had the Stilton nan which I've not
Food superb, staff great and well priced
I've eaten at the Ganges for years and every time, the food has been incredible. I visited with my friends last weekend and our server was very friendly. We all had a good laugh with him too! Food was fantastic as always. They have lots of clearly marked vegan options, so if you're meat free, you'll
Food was full of taste and fresh. Went for a butter chicken and punjabi railway lamb. Lamb was succulent! Chilli chips were also pretty good. Great service by the team, clean interior and good ambience inside.
This is a fantastic Indian restaurant serving a great selection of dishes with a great vegetarian choice. The menu is actually authentic food from India rather than than the Bengali inspired curry houses around the UK Highly recommended
Tonight's dinner at The Ganges was a treat. Love the food and the variety in herbes and styles of the different dishes. My Punjab Railway Lamb curry was great as was my wife's Chicken Saag.
What a fantastic surprise one of the best indian meals i've had in a long time and that's saying something. Every freshly made dish you could taste the spicing this is not your typical anglo-indian restaurant. If in the area give it a try I know I will be back when I next visit Devon.
Not a local and in the area on business so eating alone. Staff friendly and helpful with ordering. I was fascinated by the idea of stilton nan but couldn't order that much for one. I had chicken that was not to hot and a little sweet, taka Dahl, rice and popadoms. All very good and very tasty. I wo
We got 2 takeaways during our weeks holiday. Collected it. About £90 for 8 of us so not bad.
Excellent little Indian restaurant which is vegan and vegetarian friendly. Staff very polite. Food was good and served quickly. The owner was very friendly. I would recommend this place. This restaurant also does takeaways! Reasonably priced and good portion sizes.
Excellent....very good. Friendly, welcoming staff. Very good food from varied menu. Much enjoyed. Definitely recommended
Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. Food across the menu is delicious and the take aways are just as good. If you’re stuck for something to try; The lamb railroad curry is to die for. Not spicy. Tandoori tiger prawns are amazing and the tandoori Afghani chicken is delliccious. Plus the chicken wi
First visit to The Ganges today, heard good things and wasn't disappointed! Very good staff, super polite and helpful! Food was amazing, simply amazing. The restaurant is well decorated and feels modern and also traditional. Visit!!!
Wow what can I say by far the best Indian in North Devon by a clear mile. It’s so good here I do a 45min round trip to pick it up. Staff are really good very punctual with their timings. Couldn’t recommend enough.
The best Indian I have been to in a long time. Everything was fresh and flavourful right down to the chutneys. Wonderful unique dishes that you won't find anywhere else. Cannot recommend highly enough. Beth working front of house attentive and genuine. We will be back many many times in the future
Very nice atmosphere and lovely food worth every penny 😋.
