Visited on Friday evening, Milan gave me a table straight away, had fantastic starter of Vera Mo Mo (Lamb) and then Nepalese Vera Especial (Lamb Special) all downed with a half pint glass of Mango juice. Thoroughly enjoyable visit and many thanks to Milan and the staff.

Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a curry in Barnstaple. Unbelievable food, I have been multiple times and have never been disappointed. And such lovely people. Thank you!

As always these guys and girls served an AMAZING feast! 10/10 for the food, can't fault it AT ALL! My only grumble is that the online menu which I sent to friends so they could pre-order (there was 12 of us) is apparently the takeaway menu so we all had to pay a little more than we expected to! Outstanding food and service as always tho!

Family holiday. We tried to get in last year but resorted to a take awAy instead. Booking essential but some of the best Asian cooking we have tasted when we went this year. No ghee!!! BYOB which is cool too.

A Great Nepali Authentic Food Spot. Delicious Food, Just Amazing. Booking Ahead will be recommended due to less seats. It was the best place to celebrate my wife's Birthday, We Enjoyed every single dish Specially the Chicken Chilli. The Mango Lassi is a must try

+ Amazing food. + Friendly and welcoming staff. + Cosy location. • You have to book ahead to get a table. - Not super accessible for wheelchairs due to small size but staff are accommodating and will make space. Overall if you're in North Devon you should absolutely visit The Everest Gurkha Chef.

The food was simply amazing, one of the best curries I've ever had and, trust me, I've had a lot of curries. It's very small for a restaurant so you'll be lucky to just turn up and get a table and you'll need to take your own booze if you're planning on having a drink but soft drinks are available. I feel sad that I only ate here once during my four days working in the area, I'll definitely come back.

I was with a group of seven and we all enjoyed our food. Every dish was distinctive, even the naan was delicious. The service was excellent and the smells from the kitchen were mouth watering. Sorry no photos of the food but it was delicious, well presented and fairly priced. Highly recommended!

Right, listen. This place is genuinely the best place I’ve been to for sheer flavour and freshness of food. The staff are great, very hard working! We travel from Bristol to Barnstaple just to eat here, our 4th visit this year. Try it!

Really good food cooked by someone who is passionate about what they do. Slightly odd feeling taking my own beer into a restaurant but it added to the atmosphere (soft drinks are available). I will be going back at some point.

The flavours were amazing, really good quality, it has an open kitchen where you can see your meal being cooked, its a shame they don't have delivery service, eat in or take out only.

Very nice food, place was a bit draughty so if you're going during winter make sure you layer up. Sadly no alcohol license so you'll need to bring your own Cobra.

Absolutely loved this place. Myself and 4 friends were having a night out in Barnstaple and stumbled upon this place, the food was amazing and they catered for the 5 of us despite us not booking. Fantastic staff as well... highly recommended 👌

Fantastic, reasonably priced curry. Basic restaurant which added charm...very clean. Very friendly staff who were very accommodating considering the carnage of the empties left by 20 men's BYO! Highly recommended.

This restaurant is Tiny. BUT it has exceptionally good food and service. While coping with our birthday party of thirteen, one of whom was a two year old, they carried on serving other diners and take-away customers. The food was very tasty, sauces left in the bottom of bowls were wiped clean with Naan, they were that good. Vegetarians and carnivores alike were happy. We had a chef amongst us and she, equally, enjoyed the meal. The large oval dinner plates had been warmed and the 'corkage' fee was reasonable, (BYOB). Making it a very excellent celebration. The staff couldn't have been any more attentive or professional. Value, good food, good service. Highly recommend.

This is a very unpresuming little place, but the food is really good, very fairly priced, the staff are friendly, and everyone there was very happy and enjoying their food. It's bring your own booze, and that's good value even with the corkage charge. I would definitely go there again. A very happy find on a rainy evening :)

I come from Birmingham where we are spoilt for choice for amazing curry houses. I've been disappointed by Devon in comparison, until I found this amazing place! The everest special was the nicest curry I've had in years. Awesome service too.
