First time ever being out in Barnsley and booked this restaurant because it was close to the Civic Hall, where 12 of us had booked tickets for a show there. Our group came from far and wide, Manchester, Hull, Germany, and Leeds, so we decided to all meet up beforehand and chose this restaurant without previous experience of it. To say the least, we were all pleasantly surprised! We had a warm greeting from the owner on arrival and the building itself is lovely inside, I expect it was once a bank or some other important building but nicely decorated and in good condition. We were shown to our table, which was in a good location, plenty of space to move around. Not an easy thing to achieve for a table of 12. The staff were all pleasant, attentive and professional and everyone in our group were really well looked after. The menu was as interesting as it was varied and while our group had a very wide range of ages and tastes, everyone found something they found appetising and everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they chose to order. Even my father, who is in his 80's and not the most adventurous of eaters, came to me after and said that his food was gorgeous and the coffee at the end of the meal was perhaps the best one he had ever had! Quite an accolade in itself coming from my dad! But everyone had a thoroughly great time at the Lemon Tree and if we ever get chance to eat there again, we most definitely will do so. Love this place! Well situated in a central location in Barnsley Town centre.
Small enough to create a warm, cozy atmosphere. Staff are friendly, welcoming and attentative. Even though busy, we didn't have to wait long for any of the courses. Always well presented and extremely tasty.
Even the drinks prices weren't overly expensive.
Quality restaurant, quality food, and an enjoyable experience.

Food is absolutely excellent! Very nice staff. Food was served very quickly. Service could have been a little better but it seemed there were only 2 people working so were running around trying to sort other people out.
We attended Lemon Tree on Saturday 8 October 2022 at Lunch time, as a table of three people. We had three main courses and puddings from the menu.
The food was delicious, and had lovely customer service, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Visited here 16th February whilst over visiting family. For a Wednesday evening there was a really lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and food amazing! I had sucuk (grilled Turkish sausage with cucumber and mint dip) followed by lamb shish kebab - absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.

Amazing food and lovely service. Always like to try something new and the food tastes authentic and is just super delicious. Even my 9 month old loves the food here, especially the lentil soup 😋 can't wait to enjoy another yummy meal.
First visit here and not disappointed, good food, drink and service.

I had the vegetarian moussaka, which was gorgeous. My partner had the beef one. She's been before as says it's always good here. The service was warm and friendly too.
Lovely food, quick service too. We hadn't booked and it was clearly a busy Wednesday evening but they found us a table. Would have been 5* had, at the end of our meal, the waiter asked if we wanted dessert or another drink or coffee or the Bill. We sat for a while to see if they would return to the table but no one came, we decided to go to the bar to ask for the bill. The other niggle is the lack of an itemized bill, I was just told how much it was but I was surprised when it seemed a little higher than I had calculated. I don't mind paying for good food and it is good there's no doubting that. When I got home I checked the menu online and I was over charged by £6. No proof as no bill. I know I should have questioned it at the time of paying so it's on me, perhaps there's a service charge I wasn't aware of but if it's a regular practice then the management should be made aware.

After a little mix up with the tables we were seated and meals arriving swiftly (After pre ordering meals)

Came here for my birthday and it was the best choice I’ve ever made. The food and staff were equally lovely; my family adored the quality and portion sizes. They made my birthday feel so special by playing music for me and bringing my cake out. Overall one of the best places I’ve been for my birthday yet. I truly recommend this place for anyone wanting to celebrate their special day or if they just want some amazing quality food.
Family night out-everyone enjoyed their meal staff really helpful and managed to get our drinks orders sorted despite us creating some confusion- we will all go back soon🥰

Amazing Turkish Restraunt. I have been on two occasions and have been well-satisfied. The food is amazing and generous portions with a very reasonable price tag. Calm atmosphere and staff are friendly and accommodating. Great to go with a partner, friend or a big group.
Lovely staff, great atmosphere and lovely choices of food. Lemon tree has some really nice Turkish meals which are pretty tasty. The portions are generous. 4 stars because our food was smothered in sauce and it gets too liquid in the end. One of the chicken dishes had warm ketchup sauce on top of it and not actual tomato marinade. It made it too sweet to eat easily.
We went in early so it wasn't crowded and not too noisy. We enjoyed the food will go again.
Went with work colleagues, 5* service throughout, beautiful restaurant, staff couldn't do enough for you and the food was exceptional, would definitely recommend and I will be going again, thank you for a lovely experience.
