Outstanding food, service, and venue
Visited Puccini's with family on Saturday afternoon. Even though we arrived well before opening time, we were warmly welcomed, let in, and seated. Staff was very polite, attentive, with great etiquette, and an eye for detail.
Each one of us ordered a different meal (pizza, pasta, risoto, and lasagna). We were all very happy with our meals and finished them to the last bite. This left us just a little space for desert - we highly recommend their tiramisu but be warned that it is addictive. :-)
Finally, let me add that the venue makes visitors feel truly welcome in (what I assume is a) family-run restaurant. Inside deco is classic.
Overall, our visit was fantastic and we were highly pleased with our meals and service. We will be back next time we are anywhere near. If you are looking for a great Italian dining experience that is a good value for your money, then I/we can highly recommend you visit Puccini's.
Tried this place for the first time in April 2024 following a recommendation from a friend. When I phoned up to book a table I enquired about halal meat and they said we will see what I can do. When I turned up, they had ordered halal chicken for me, which was an example of putting the customer first. I ordered a starter and mains and coffee. All of which was great. Nice clean place with ample parking.
First time trying this place and it was gorgeous! Ordered chicken alla crème for main and oh my too nice forgot to take a picture! The lady who served us was lovely and will 1000% be back
First time at Puccini's but will be going back. The hallway leading to the dining room has a great looking stairway to your LH side. The dining room is functional and very clean. I ordered a Pizza for starters and they did me a smaller version followed by Pancakes and a side portion of fries. The food was delicious, it was the best pizza I have ever had. The service was good and there was no waiting to be served what you had ordered. The chicken pancake was also on par and the only downside was the lack of chips in the bowl. Four of us ordered a side of chips and it appeared as though they had done enough for three and then tried to make them look more in the bowls. Small details but I want them to be aware that something insignificant maybe taking away from the excellent experience. All in all, one of Barnsley' best. Cheers
Would have given 5 for food but after 20yrs on continual use have noticed the veg portions are a lot small and the prawns in the starter, fewer and smaller. No room to post below but Fillet Steak n sauce gorgeous
Birthday meal wow enjoyed every mouthful best meal I have ever eaten I would have given double stars if I could. A rare hidden gem worth a visit fantastic food
Food was beautiful, portion sizes were good. It was quiet on a Tuesday night, for 3 starters, 2 mains and 2 glasses of wine it was approx £80 which was great value.
Service was very good.
The pollo puccini is highly recommended

It was absolutely lovely and the meal I had, was truly delicious. It came out within good time, and was made to perfection. A small bit of Italy, from home to here. It felt very authentic, and the lady that served me was wonderful and so accommodating! 5/5! If I was not down simply for a business trip, I would absolutely come again!

OMG! How awesome is Puccinis!! I just took a 16th birthday party of 13 there for 5.30pm on a Sunday straight after 3 hours of swimming. 11 FAMISHED boys on a very cold rainy winter evening. Within 45 mins, Puccini's had everyone full, fed, warm and happy. They even had a number "6" candle when the one I took turned out to be a "9"! :D
I can't thank the team enough for looking after us so well and treating us all like kings for an evening. We'll definitely back. And the food was amazing too and all the boys loved it (even the autistic ones who have particular tastes). Wholeheartedly recommended <3 <3 <3
