Although not a licenced establishment, the food more than makes up for it and you are encouraged to take your own alcohol although soft drinks are served. When we went, six of us ate with starter and main along with 6 soft drinks for the kids and the bill was less than £48.00 This is a good price for average food, but Alams Lounge serve great food! Highly recommended but book in advance.
Great staff, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing food, freshly prepared. This restaurant is in a league above the average Indian /Bengali places. Highly recommend it - I'll definitely be returning!
Had a lovely family birthday meal at Alams lounge. The food was delicious and the owners/ waitress couldn't do enough for us. We took our own alcohol and birthday cake. The staff put a candle on top of the cake and sang happy birthday which I thought was a nice touch.

You all did a fantastic job, it ran like clockwork (well for us, not sure how the kitchen was) food was exceptional as always, staff could not have done anymore for everyone, and as always it was a pleasure to have Abby and Lisa as our hosts! I was inundated with messages from my family and friends last night saying how gorgeous their food was and how fabulous the whole evening was. Despite arriving earlier than the restaurant's opening time, Abaz Khan graciously welcomed us and promptly set up a lovely table for our family. This gesture of accommodation was heartwarming and set the tone for the rest of our visit. He also checked-in and allow us to pray in their place.
The menu offered a mouthwatering selection of Indian dishes, and we eagerly ordered Chicken Biryani Rice, Korma and Pilau Rice, Paratha Bread, and Mango Lassi. Each dish was cooked to perfection, with rich flavors and spices that showcased the culinary prowess of this restaurant chefs. The generous portions and reasonable pricing added to our overall satisfaction with the meal.
Our waitress, Macey, truly went above and beyond in ensuring our comfort and happiness. Her attentive service, friendly demeanor, and helpfulness in providing a room for prayer made our dining experience even more enjoyable. It's my third time here and it was tremendous again. Samosa was full of filling. The curry was a generous portion. The waiting staff were welcoming. Nothing bad to say about the place (other than £3.45 for a bottle of soft drink 😐)
