Lovely staff and owners. Ordered a sirloin steak and was not disappointed. Very fairly priced and high quality home made food. Highly recommend it!

So after meeting the owners by luck a few nights ago, myself & work colleague decided since it's our last night in teesdale we would make an appearance after hearing how amazing the food was at this establishment, we both decided to go for steaks, mines medium his medium rate, as you can see from the photos below the presentation of the food is next to none, food itself well just absolutely flawless, steak cooked to absolute perfection, chips home made absolutely mouth watering, and onion rings also cracking aswell, decent little place busy and obviously a popular place for food, decent prices for 2 steaks & wine (we got beer inatead) & such a nice atmosphere. I must admit next time im working down here I certainly won't forget this place! Thanks guys 😎

We just happened to be passing through. Stopped off for some lunch. The food was delicious, the owners were really nice and apparently we could stay overnight in a campervan or caravan. We are definitely coming back.

Found this pub on a Facebook group which offered their car park for an overnight camper stay if you dined at the pub. After a visit to Raby Castle Chrismas market we went over and had a great meal and drinks. Lots of drinks to choose from. All staff super friendly and we’re so accommodating with letting us sit in a quiet corner so our little puppy could sleep under the table. Great little find.

Great Sunday lunch. Only lost 1 star due to roast parsnips being burnt and the broccoli was yellow. Chicken, pork, yorkshire puds, carrots turnip gravy all delicious. Serving staff were lovely, the price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. NB car park is not as big as Google satellite view says anymore.

A very friendly atmosphere. Great service and a lovely roast dinner. We had hiked along the Teesdale Way, from Barnard Castle to Whorlton. A fantastic stop, definitely can recommend it. Also some good real Ales on as well.

Walked along the teesdale way from barnard castle with my partner and our patterdale terrier. Beautiful walk when we came upon the beautiful village of whorlton. Bobbed Into fernavilles for a Sunday lunch and a refreshing pint. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by all of the staff and were seated. The food was beautiful and the refreshing lager hit the spot. The restaurant and bar area were beautifully decorated as you can see from the photos. Well worth a visit. Bare in mind it's not the cheapest place to eat for a Sunday lunch, we thought it was worth it though. If your passing through and fancy a treat ....why not

Great place. Booked in and was pleasantly surprised at the lovely double room suite. We had reserved a table for dinner and had a lovely meal from a new menu and they catered for our 8 year old as well. We had a great night sleep. The breakfast set us up for the day! Would recommend and we will definitely come again.

Visiting the area and tried a few local pubs for a nice Sunday Roast but to no avail. We stumbled across The Bridge Inn and wow we couldn’t have been happier. Delicious Sunday Roast, served with extra gravy and melt in the mouth stick toffee pudding! Service was very welcoming and relaxing. Also dog friendly. Lovely pub and great place to stop and walk by the River Tees to walk it all off! Would visit again!
