First time here yesterday with gorgeous wife Jacqui for our Saturday morning coffee n cake. Excellent.... we enjoy our coffee and this didn’t disappoint, freshly ground beans and served large cups. As for the home made cakes Superb...could have easily gone back for another one or two. Looking forward to our next visit.... this has the makings of a great cafe. Welcoming and friendly service just what we like. Will & would highly recommend.

Something for everyone at this super cosy café. So much choice of the freshly baked variety- to please each of my tribe, quiche to die for, scrummy cakes and warming hot chocolate and coffee. Can't wait to visit again (the kids are already discussing what they'll have 'next time'!).

What a quirky and unique little place this is! Spent a lovely hour (or so!) drinking gorgeous coffee in one of the downstairs snugs. The food choice is amazing, it all looked so good, and I love the various dietary options. Will definitely be going back soon!

Love it! The coffee, the people the kids space all great! Plus my teenage son said they have the nicest juice and chocolate cake he’s ever had (and he had no clue it was dairy free!)

Hot chocolate is very good. Cakes are brilliant. The couple next to me took a vanilla and chocolate cake, split each down the middle and made some sort of funky looking hybrid (what a cool idea!). Very relaxing atmosphere.

Live in Barnard Castle and only just found this little gem of a place. Beautiful cute cafe, healthy options, light snacks and meals(see menu), lay out is qwerky with tables ranging from 2 seater to partys of 8/10, lower levels they have super cumphy couches and chairs, with kids corner to accommodate the smaller humans. First time here I tried the avocado on toast with extra eggs, enjoyed so much I returned the next day, the soup was delishous, bread was super fresh, the Omlette was a special request and probably the best I have had, filling was ham and cheese, so light and fluffy. I'd highly recommend, should be on the menu it's that good. 10/10. Staff were super friendly and happy, just added to the atmosphere.

Lovely little place to stop for a drink and or snack / meal. Lots of places to sit both on ground level and downstairs, plus there looked like they have an outdoor seating area but it was raining so we didn't go out to have a look. Our drinks and food was very tasty. Service was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic cafe, they only have a small space for eating on the ground floor. There is extra seating downstairs. As I am disabled I didn't get down there so I didn't know how big it is. The toilet is on the ground floor, it's not an accessible one though. If you can walk a little bit you might be able to use it

The most amazing tranquil place... love it downstairs in the hideout. Feel like I could settle down with a good book for a few hours. Natchos were amazing all washed down with a most fabulous oat milk chia latte. Lush. So great came back the next day for a late lunch. Ploughmans and another Chia latte most delicious. Brought a book this time and chilled. What makes it so perfect is the staff who make you feel at home and the big welcome to dogs.

We had a nice lunch in this interesting little café in Barnard Castle. It looks small from the outside, but once you get past the serving counter, there is a back room and several eating areas down some stairs. The food was good and freshly prepared, although the service would have been a bit quicker if there hadn't been so many people buying take-away food. If we are ever in Barnard Castle again, we will go there again.

Thoughtfulness, honesty and integrity go a long way! Stopped off for a quick coffee and scone on the way home. Sun shining, took advantage of the table for two outside. Service quick, with a smile, food good. On arriving home (130 miles away), I realised I had misplaced my handbag! Not only did Carly reach out on her fb page, she posted my bag and contents intact along with the receipt for posting. From her communication to the thoughtful way in which she returned my bag was very much appreciated. Definitely one to revisit when back in the area.

This is the perfect destination café if you are a veggie, vegan, soya tea drinking, mixed berries smoothie choosing, fairy light loving family. Add in great staff, comfy chairs and a chilled vibe and you have 'Moments'. We visited today and will be back again in a day or two - Bliss!

Quirky little cafe, with unexpected cellar seating areas. Despite not having some things of the menu, the staff were polite and friendly, the flapjack was excellent, but the Tiffin was a little too dark for our taste.

Fabulous. Lovely, lovely staff. And it was lovely and cool sitting downstairs on one of the hottest days of the year. Pro tip 1: the daily sausage roll is an excellent choice. Pro tip 2: the very solid, thick, walls mean the strength WiFi downstairs isn't fantastic, so, instead of skimming Facebook, have a chat instead!

Popped in for an early lunch, was expecting standard café food. We had a sandwich and a sausage roll and both were beautiful, the sandwich was on light fresh homemade bread and the sausage roll is possibly the best I've ever had.

Lovely, quirky little place. Excellent service, great food! I had an Orange & Lemon Cheescake and my husband had cannolis. We sat downstairs in the basement of the building which is full of old world charm. Definitely recommend
