I came in for lunch on Friday and ordered the Barbouth Burger. The food was good, but a considering this is a bar and grill - I did feel like what should be the signature burger did let the side down. I've had a welsh beef burger several times from different establishmens, all of which the patty have been thicker. However it was a very well made burger and all the ingredients were fresh - but I was a bit disappointed given the price and name of this grill.
The decor Is nice, slightly rustic and plenty of tables. I can imagine it gets busy at time.
The service was good, and the wait on the food was about 15 minutes.
Deffo worth a visit if your hungry.
Lovely dog friendly pub, tasty food, good selection of fruity gins. Only complaint (not really a complaint) the pub was just a bit dark 😂, but overall would eat there again
A casual dinner, booked fairly late on a Saturday afternoon. Nice pub atmosphere, usual selection of drinks, friendly staff... food of a fairly standard pub offering, nicely presented & tasted good. Reasonable price...

We arrived on a Saturday evening without booking but the very friendly staff managed to find a slot for us. Great quality food without much of a wait washed down with a perfect pint of Staropramen. Really liked the vibe and decor, and would recommend the place to groups or couples. My 12 year old was with us and was made to feel very welcome - he loved his custom Halloween drink!
Would visit again if we're back in Barmouth.
Booked a table for 9 friends and 1 dog earlier in the afternoon and sure enough when we got there at 7.30 there was a large table reserved with my name - a nice touch. Service was very efficient and friendly, the menu had something for everyone. The food came reasonably quickly and everyone was happy with their chosen meals. Hot and delicious, good portion sizes, I had sea bass with fresh veg on crushed new potatoes with a caper sauce, very tasty. One of our party had prawn linguine which he said was very spicy but again, delicious. Once everyone finished the table was cleared efficiently and a couple of us had room for desert also didn't disappoint. We weren't rushed to leave the table and enjoyed an hour there with drinks and chat. All in all a lovely evening.
Great food, quick service and very reasonable. The only reason for giving 3 stars for atmosphere was that it was dead in there. However it was a Monday evening, I'm sure it's more lively later in the week and over weekends.
We had a lovely meal here tonight, all our meals were very good, good portions for the money, certainly not ripped off. Good was cooked well and nice and fresh too. Recommend it to anyone who wants good basic food.

We had an excellent birthday meal here. They accommodated 15 of us with ease, the food came out quickly and was hands down delicious. Not a single negative and everything cooked to perfection. Our compliments to the chef, Barmouth bar and grill you are nailing it, well done!
We've just had lunch here and I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was all home cooked, tasty and very well presented. Great choice for lunch thanks.

Revisited March 2022
This time we had mother's day Sunday lunch. Things were not quite right this time. Service was not on point. Constantly having to follow up where things were. Definitely having problems today. Food tastes good but was cold and we had waited 1hr for food and really just wanted to get on with our day. Sides of veg were served 10mins before main dishes came so we're cold by the time food came. People were getting served before us despite us ordering way before others. The prawn starter was very good and mushroom starter was very good. I think it was just an off day today. As its not normally like this. I spoke to Mark at the bar and he said sorry and they were having kitchen difficulties today.

Still the best filet steak I've ever had. And served identical to the visit 9 months prior. Everything was cooked to perfection. I would like to see a kids steak added to the menu. We had fish and chips this time too. My brother is hard to impress with food but he was impressed with his fish and chips. Thank you again see you soon.
Visit in July 2021 Very possibly the best filet steak I've ever had. Really lovely place, lovely service and welcoming staff. Very different to the past pub. Food was cooked perfect.
Me and my partner popped in here yesterday for a meal. We had 2 starters: Garlic Prawns, bbq chicken wings and cheesy garlic bread. All really well presented and all tasted delicious. Then we had the barmouth burger and chicken burger, both again really well presented and tasted amazing! Chips were big and crunchy... we were not disappointed. Would eat here again happily!
My fiance and I were driving through Barmouth and decided to stop for the seaside views and mid-day meal. The restaurant was packed and we waited awhile for a table. It was a Sunday to be fair! (I'm sure weekends are always quite busy) The waitresses tried their best to keep everything in an orderly fashion and we were eventually seated in about 20-25 minutes. Both of us ordered the Barmouth Burger and it was MASSIVE! We couldn't even finish the whole burger/meal. Totally worth it though. Very fat heavy but delicious! The onion nest was a lovely addition and we really enjoyed it. Large chip sizes (almost the size of potato wedges) but medium portions, which was appreciated considering the burger's size. The chips were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Super yummy and cooked to perfection! Good coleslaw too. Their soft drink sizes are also quite big as well, but I was happy that I didn't have to buy an additional drink. Give this place a try for sure~

We fish and chips. Jeez big portions and the most amazing cod I've had. It was outstanding. Can't say the same for the chips (,typical frozen chips) but the fish filled me up so I didn't miss them.

This place is lush! A very cool vibe, super friendly staff. I had the fillet steak and it was amazing. Perfectly cooked, melt in the mouth. Even the fries were sublime! The wine was also very tasty! I will definitely be back. Dog friendly too. 5 stars because fab in all ways. Thanks guys 🙏🏽👌🏽👍🏼
One of the tastiest burgers I've had in a very long time! Not just me but everyone else agreed thier Chicken Burgers were amazing too! Staff were lovely, atmosphere was nice, toilets were clean. Highly, highly recommended 👍🏻
