Murrays Cafe Bar - Barmouth - Photo album

I was viewing the menu here when Ted the owner asked me what I was looking for. I asked if they did bacon sandwiches, and Ted said he'd make me one. Inside, I met Hazel, and had a lovely bacon sandwich and cup of tea, whilst chatting to Ted. All whilst they prepared to open. They both made my day.
Here you will find without any doubt the most friendly people of all the places in Barmouth where you can get a good cup of coffee. The cake is delicious and the service superb. This is why you go to Barmouth 😃 So please, when you see the owners walk up the steep streets to go home, do give them a h
After a walk from Shell Island to Barmouth, Murray's was perfect. No packet ham, it was the real stuff. Lots of homemade! Cakes, quiches, soups, he even brought out some chicken noodle soup for us to try. All staff excellent!
Lovely little cafe, friendly staff, good range of drinks and cakes. Music playing softly in the background so you don't have to raise your voice to talk to your companions. If you are looking for somewhere a little more relaxed and friendly than the normal Costa or Star Bucks this place is definite
Found this gem of a place as they were closing, my wife and I was really made welcome by Ted and Hazel lovely tea and cake, we will meet again ,lol Ted and Hazel were, we will definitely be returning
favourite place to take a moment, enjoy some good food and rest in relative calm .. it's never empty, but never rowdy or noisy, which is appealing to enjoy a bite. The only "negative" is the opening times given that trains leaving Barmouth go into the early evening and there are nearly no options a
Really nice cafe. Genuinely comfortable, with great service and pleasant vibe. We had lunch, simple fayre but just perfectly done. The loose leaf tea is grand, a refreshing blend and plenty for a couple of cups. We had toasties, cheese and tommy, bacon, cheese and onion, a good lunch with small (inc
Our second visit here. Food was great and service was outstanding. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We will be back.
This is probably our favourite cafe, the owners are so friendly and accommodating as much as the can be for my husband who is allergic to most of the food on the planet. The food is always good and the cakes are amazing. It takes us an hour to get there but it's worth every minute.
Very friendly atmosphere and great service, the food we ordered was quick but not too quick. Well presented and delicious. The cake after was excellent as well. A fab find and will return
Great, very nice service. The vine tomatoes soup was very delicious. It is a first place in UK where we get properly small fork for cake. It was a very good, very positive surprise. Soft background music adds a warm atmosphere to this place. Unfortunately they haven't disability toilet. They only
Returned here after stopping for lunch on a previous holiday. Very pleased when the food came to see that portion sizes are still decent; a simple ham sandwich was enjoyed by my eldest who seemingly has a bottomless stomach. The soup of the day was sweet potato and spinach and I enjoyed it very much
Quiche & grilled vegetables on toast ! Great food after a morning at the beach.
Absolutely massive selection of vegan and gluten free options. Gorgeous food and drinks, really tasty and good portion sizes. Staff were so lovely and very helpful. Really really impressed - will definitely be returning very soon!
We went in a group of four with a wheelchair and the staff were very helpful. The cakes were very delicious and with the drinks the price was very reasonable. We'll worth the visit.
In Barmouth a town of endless fish and chips and ice cream parlours, is this gem of a place, a little oasis of fresh tea, coffee, home made cakes and meals. An ideal place to take my 84 year old mum. Sanity restored.... oh and did I say what lovely service we had too.
A nice coffee and food stop, although seemed more expensive, and alterations from our visit last summer have, to our minds, taken some some of its' character away
Popped in while visiting barmouth. The coffee is good and the cakes are fantastic. #harrytuck really enjoyed his honey and almond cake. Great, friendly staff and a warm atmosphere.
