We ate here last night and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten! I had the goats cheese tartlet and my partner had the bruschetta and for main course we both had beef wellington. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert. The food and service were perfect and the restaurant is really lovely. Thank you so much, we had a fabulous evening!

Wow! Small but elegant restaurant in the heart of Barmouth. (Book in advance) Absolutely amazing food. Started with the lobster bisque and the toasted goat cheese, very flavorful. For mains we decided with the duck (stupidly good) and cooked perfectly, the juices was mouthwatering. We also had the sea bass, which was a good size and delicious. Ended the night with the crème brûlée which was awfully good. 😊We were surprised & honoured to meet the owners, Jose who did the cooking and his wife served us. Wonderful people and could have talked to them all night, you can tell what this restaurant means to them. Can’t wait to be back. Jamie & Mary.

I booked a table here for the Friday evening, it was so good I returned for dinner on the Saturday. Food is beautifully cooked. Presentation is fantastic too. An inventive and interesting menu. A tiny gem. You need to book to ensure you get a table. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and the imagination of the chef. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Will definitely return.

An absolute must try when in the area!! We had the loveliest meal for such a reasonable price, definitely recommend. The bistro is a tiny, cosy place run by a lovely couple. We had some fresh bread, butter and olive oil for appetizers, nice to start off the evening. We then had the orange and brandy duck parfait and sweet and sour prawn spring rolls for starters - both an absolute 10/10, easily the best parfait I ever had. The garnish combinations were brilliant, I believe it was toasted bread, cranberry and cucumber for the parfait, and some radish, cucumber and salad with the spring rolls. We then continued with the lamb and a steak, again both lovely meals. The steak was full of flavour and perfectly cooked medium-rare (as requested), the lamb had a lovely gravy on it which complemented the flavours perfectly. For desserts, we had creme brule and banoffee bread pudding. Such a nice way to end our evening. Portion sizes were reasonable and not too overwhelming. We could enjoy each meal without feeling too full at the end, but also well-fed as we left. I’d say it’s a great place for a romantic evening given the tunes and general atmosphere. Service was friendly but not too over the top, we were also promptly approached when our meals were finished. Our bill came to about £60 each, which is very reasonable for a bottle of red wine and a three course meal. Thank you Bistro Bermo for the great evening, we’ll be back!!

Had an amazing meal here, the food was incredible. Steaks cooked to perfection, and my partner said the lobster steak was the best steak they've ever had. I had the beef Wellington which was also brilliant. We shared the baked alaska for pudding and that was also really delicious. The restaurant is tiny so booking is essential if you want to eat here! Staff really attentive and friendly also. Would definitely recommend and go back if we return to barmouth.

Fantastic meal. Great service. Probably the best in town. Always book ahead as very limited covers. Good wines at reasonable prices. If it wasn’t closed from Sunday night to Wednesday lunchtime we’d have gone back on our 4 day stay!

What a little gem. I think they can seat 16 people max. We were lucky to get the last available table. The menu is fairly short but well constructed and the food, beautifully cooked. We had a charcuterie board to share, monkfish and cod. The “chips” are stunning. The lady who serves on, (she must own it) was absolutely brilliant in the way she handled the evening. She made it look effortless and we all know that it isn’t. Top place!

Superb on every front. Looked up where we could dine out and Bistro Bermo was top of the list. A very small restaurant with limited covers. Book in advance as it is fully booked. Good menu selection and food is well prepared and presented. Octopus was a special starter , excellent. Couldn't fault anything.

We called in on the off chance on Saturday evening, the easy options on the promenade had either stopped serving food or were fully booked. They managed to squeeze us in, and we were not disappointed, lovely meal fillet steak, welcomed with soft bread and butter and olive oil. Friendly welcoming staff. We booked for Thursday evening, I had the rack of lamb finishing off with the raspberry creme brûlée, again a beautiful meal. Will be back, when in the area. Jeff and Lorraine.❤️

What a wonderful little place this is. We shared 2 starters; a wonderful pate, and octopus and chorizo. Both extremely good. For mains, I had the rack of lamb, and my friend had the Tuna steak. Both meals were beautifully presented and tasted superb. The service was friendly and efficient, and I can whole heartedly recommend this place.

Me and my girlfriend have just had the most incredible meal tonight...everything was fantastic but Janet's steak and my beef Wellington was truly out of the world...I wouldn't eat anywhere else in Barmouth... Memorable.

On a recent trip to Barmouth we pre-booked this restaurant based on the reviews we had read and we are glad we did. The place does not look particularly exiting from outside but we received a warm welcome and we were treated to an exceptional meal. We skipped the starters looking forward to dessert instead. My wife chose the Rack of lamb in mustard & herb crust with red wine sauce. I went for the Lemon roasted chicken supreme with garlic prawns, slow roasted onion & peppers with basil dressing. Both dishes were served with carrots,French beans, broccoli and potatoes. We also decided to try the Patatas bravas as a side dish. Although the meals included vegetables we were not sure if they included one of our favourite Spanish dishes so we added them to the meal. We drank the La Caban Viognier accompanied by a bottle of tap water. For dessert my wife had Classic cream brûlée with raspberries and I had a combination of Blackcurrant and coconut sorbet Everything about the meal was superb. Delicious, well prepared food with excellent service made the whole experience truly memorable. I expected a hefty bill at the end of such a lovely meal but was pleasantly surprised to have to pay just £88.50. Service charge is not included in the bill which is a refreshing change from the practice in many restaurants. Having said that such good, efficient and helpful service deserves reward. We will certainly book this place again when visiting the area and would recommend it as a place to try but remember to book in advance.

From starter to desert Bistro Bermo is outstanding. The fillet Steak with lobster and cheese crumble just melted in the mouth. My wife had the Welsh Rack Of Lamb she said it was superb. It was a perfect 29th wedding anniversary meal highly recommended.

Happy Birthday, Tastebuds! God what a treat this was - beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. Small, but interesting menu - able to accommodate change - no sauce - with no problem. Small, but comprehensive (and very good) wine list. Leave room for dessert - you won't regret it!
