We’ve stopped for a hot chocolate after a long hike and we were met with breathtaking cozy atmosphere of this local coffe place :)
Not only was the chocolate great but the people in there were smiling and seemed really enjoying themselves!
Definitely come by!
Micheal, who served us food, made you feel welcome. we had a ham and cheese toasty and a hot drink it was welcome as it was a Wet day
Popped in for a quick lunch before catching the bus home. Incredible service, reasonable prices and good tea. Friendly welcome
Lovley little shop. With a Trip Advisor certificate of excellence. Has all the emergency food you would ever need. It also serves real Coffe made with a real Coffe making Machine. Not your watered down filtered Coffe. Nice sandwiches and cakes including glutten free cakes. Caters for vegans with alternative milk such as soya and oat. Highly recommended.
Really nice little spot, this. Excellent toastie, cake and coffee. It's a real village shop too: the regulars are known by name and it has that feel of somewhere people would meet up.
Purely as a note, the range of hot food isn't massive - no bacon sarnies that I could see on the menu board, for example - but there is a decent choice and it really isn't an issue.
I'll certainly come back...
This shop is amazing! We saw the sign on the main road while driving home from a wk in Northumberland and called in for a bite to eat. We all enjoyed a different sandwich from the menu and a much appreciated cup of tea. It was lovely. The shop was well stocked too and I bought a lovely bag that I admired while eating that the lady said was made by her friend. I'd stop again if I'm ever up towards that way. It was very good as was the pottery shop across the road.
Lovely lunch in the sunshine. Friendly service. Food was really tasty. Homemade, simple feel (in a good way!). Would highly recommend. Thank you.
Simple, great tasting food obviously made with fresh local ingredients. The service is impeccable, we live over in Cumbria so we're not there that often yet we still get a warm familiar greeting, as if we were there every day. We have been there on the odd occasion when it's very busy and there has been a longer than usual wait for food. In this case the lovely gentleman behind the counter let us know before we sat down and kept apologising, we really didn't mind at all. The shop also sells lots of hand made crafts made by people in the village and surrounding areas, there's some amazing pieces and all of it is very reasonably priced.
A really special little Tea Room, a gem and definitely somewhere you need to stop if you're passing on the main road. It's so worth popping off the beaten track for.
We stumbled on this great little spot last year and returned again last week. Lovely food especially the cake and a real village shop where all the basics can be found. Owner was so helpful and chatty. We will visit again next time we pass. Wish we lived closer!
What a quaint little find here in Bardon Mill. We had been walking at the National Trust Estate and Google recommended this place. We sat outside as we had the dog with us. Had a great cup of coffee and some traybake. The owner was really helpful and friendly.
