We have enjoyed the food there and also the service wasn't bad either. Perhaps my fish sauce was slightly too rich for me, but everything else was really good so 5 stars.

Exceptionally good food for a Sunday roast. Big portions, meat cooked exactly to order, perfectly cooked vegetables and sides. Very well trained friendly staff and a really reasonable price. Deservedly busy but not too noisy either.
Had a few meals at this establishment and all were superb. Service was good in all departments the staff couldn't be more attentive. Great selection of ales served. If you in the area you must try this place.

Fantastic food and service at this beautiful 17th century pub. We had the chicken supreme, steak & kidney suet pudding plus chicken skewers. Followed by chocolate mousse, brownie and Belgium waffle. Delicious!
Excellent roast beef lunch for me and the superb steak and kidney pudding for the wife. All enjoyed in a comfortable restaurant. Popped in here for a drink on Good Friday and it was a lovely cosy pub. The fire was on and the staff were friendly too. We haven’t eaten here but the menu looked great and will look to eat here in the future
