Glad to see Bawon has improved it's hygiene rating, as it's my local Chinese. Food is decent (usually go for a Chicken Curry or Satay with Crispy Noodles). Portion sizes are good, and you don't give you that bloated feeling after eating!
My local and has always been really good. However, something has changed with the Fried Rice. It clumpy, cloggy and sticky. Not the loose tasty rice it used to be. Shame it ruined a tasty black pepper main course.
Edit. Four months on from the above review and the rice appears to be back to normal.
Tonight was the first we ordered from this Chinese and we were not disappointed. Perfectly portioned. Fresh food. Best Chinese takeaway I have had in years!
I can recommend the Honey Chilli Shredded chicken and the chicken Katsu curry. Enjoy!

Can’t rate this Chinese high enough. The food was amazing, everything cooked perfect and the curry had a lovely kick. Super fast delivery and sent 2 fried rice instead of 1 noodles. When I rang about noodles they where at my door within 5 mins! Will definitely be using them again. 5 ***** Thank you

Best Chinese food in Bangor in my humble opinion. Their Thai Green Curry is outstanding. Be prepared for a wait though between about 6 and 7.30pm. That's how popular it is.
I have been searching for a good Chinese in Bangor since moving here a year ago. I tried here tonight after being recommended by a friend. Food was very good and liked the fact you could see all the chefs etc till service very good also. Definitely be back 👍🏻
Food is great however it’s let down by the rudeness of the serving staff. Appreciate they are busy etc but tonight the guy serving hadn’t the time to allow me to speak and he obviously hadn’t the time to deal with customers. Shame cause it’s good grub.
Ordered from Bawon for the first time tonight - i wondered what quality of food was going to be delivered - the best i have tasted yet in Bangor and i have tried most Chinese's locally - will definitely be ordering again
Excellent food, generous portions, very quick service. Worth driving in to collect if you live outside their delivery area.
