I stayed at the salty dog this weekend with my 3 poodles. I would highly recommend it to everyone especially dog lovers and owners. We were checked in quickly and shown up to room. Beautiful sea view. Bedroom clean with plenty of space and nice extra touches of hot chocolate, cookies and fresh lillies in the room. We had dinner in the restaurant with the dogs. Dinner was lovely. The staff brought water and treats for dogs. All staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and could recommend the best beaches and walks.

I booked The Salty Dog as a surprise Birthday Treat for my husband and we had an absolutely amazing time.
We were also allowed to bring our Black Lab Jett with us too which was great.
The staff were very welcoming when we arrived and even had treats for Jett.
Very often and in fact in most cases when you check-in to a hotel you are given your room key and you have to find your own way.
Not at The Salty Dog, after check-in we were brought to our room and shown where everything was. Nice touch �
I had a table reserved for 7 pm in the restaurant but we had a couple of hours to chill in the lounge before dinner which was lovely as we were able to have Jett with us. The staff really fussed over her giving her a bowl of water and treats too as well as hugs.
Our meal was out of this world, I chose the Goats Cheese & Beetroot Salad to start with while Gareth went for the famous Scotch Egg, both delicious. For my main dish I went for Salmon and Gareth went for Rib-eye Steak, again both were amazing and cooked to perfection.
To finish we shared a Cheese Board, yummy.
The breakfast the next morning was also superb.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and a special mention to our waitress Victoria who was just brilliant, great personality and just a lovely way with her.
Will definitely be back and would highly recommend The Salty Dog.
Had a deluxe overnight stay with three course meal it was wonderful, the room the staff particularly Pamela all excellent. The meal was just scrumptious. Cannot recommend the Salty dog enough. If you want to get away and relax this is the place. PS we will be back.....
Stayed at the salty dog this weekend with my two dogs and I loved it ! The staff were so friendly and helpful , they brought water and treats for the dogs and went above and beyond at all times. The rooms were clean airy with beautiful sea views and the food in the restaurant was delicious and so fresh. The hotel is perfectly located beside the marina and for lovely sea walks.I would highly recommend this place for dog lovers and non dog lovers alike and I will definatly be back..10/10
Just back from a celebration meal and have to say it was delicious. My husband had a starter and main while I went for main and desert; and of course we sampled each other's dishes. Great taste sensations: my main had a zingy crab crushed potatoes with a salty cod, green beans and a poached egg cooked to perfection. I followed that up with a chocolate salted caramel pot with a champagne sorbet that offset the chocolate nicely. We were lucky to get a window table so could watch the marine activity: the staff were lovely and helpful with suggestions. And to crown it all we got to meet and greet a visiting spaniel :)
Well done on an all round enjoyable experience: great food, lovely ambience and dogs.
As new dog owners we came for a late lunch today as heard we could bring our puppy Bella and found a warm welcome for us and treats and ear scratches for her! She loved it and settled quietly under my chair, enjoying her treats and with a bowl of water brought to her. Our meal was delicious, I had a steak which was cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his meal and loved the cheese board. The staff and service were excellent too - we will definitely be back with Bella!
Great spot and lovely to find a dog friendly pub...friendly staff fabulous welcome for both 2 legged and 4 legged friends! Excellent! Hopefully you start a much needed trend for dog friendly establishment ������

I had the most delicious dinner. Highly recommend The Salty Dog. Food was lovely and fresh and perfectly cooked and presented. The waiting staff were very curtious and attentive.
Just the best place! Lovely attentive staff, great food and warm atmosphere. It’s hard to beat!
