A beautiful tasty meal as always. Love the choice of vegetables with the main courses. The food is always great and the lads front of house lovely. The owner runs a great place cooking....havent met them yet....but I have never been let down. I travel 330 miles to eat there whenever i visit Northern Ireland. The music on a saturday while u eat is good too and the view to die for while u drink sundowners. Enjoy

Lovely atmosphere, staff went out of there way to help provide a gluten free 3 course meal. The restaurant is also a lovely setting especially with outside tables with a view of the sea.

First class food and staff ( and the Guinness isn't bad either! ). Never fails to impress me. Cosy, authentic and one of our favourites!

I imagine everyone already knows that this is the best pub/restaurant in Bangor. Great menu, fantastic seafood options. Excellent service and nice sea views for outdoor drinking or dining. If visiting on a weekend, it's definitely worth making a reservation.

Lovely pub and a nice place to while away a few hours. On a sunny day the terrace is a lovely suntrap with a really buzzy atmosphere. The highlight was the food, the mussels were so good, I can only offer an after photo of them! Lots of fresh seafood at really reasonable prices. Only criticism... As other reviews have touched on, cleaning of tables etc could be upped, used plates were quite slow to clear between customers and the tablets would benefits for a deeper clean. But, they were heaving that day so any team would probably struggle. And they were very friendly too.

Lovely restaurant in amazing location. I visited during my bicycle ride to Bangor. The staff were lovely and the food got prepared really quick. Seafood chowder was amazing with tasty soda bread and was just what I needed to warm me up and a cheesecake was great to top it off. Restaurant inside looks very cozy and has a lively atmosphere but I preferred to stay in the seating area outside - it was bit windy but otherwise weather was great and the view into the sea is phenomenal.

We had a great family meal here, the food & drinks were excellent. Nice atmosphere, amazing views of the sea and good service. Menu has good gluten free options too. Kids meal was free with paying adults which was a nice touch too 🙂

This is one of my favourite spots for a pint and grub. The beer garden facing the Lough is just a gorgeous spot. Yesterday though the summer rain continued, so we ate inside. The chilli chicken was the perfect pub grub as always, though I was slightly disappointed in the chips. Possibly because we came right at the end of a busy lunch service. Won't put me off, will be back soon.

We had a fantastic meal in Jamaica Inn. The monkfish was to die for and the service was first class. The best place in Bangor to eat.

Vibrant flavoursome food by the sea. The Jamaica Inn is located a 10 minute walk along the coast from Bangor Marina and is close to Ballyholme beach. There is on street parking close to the restaurant. Tables can be reserved for inside dining but the 16 outdoor tables are available on a first come first served basis. The outside area is dog friendly. There are fantastic views from the seated area over Belfast Lough. When we arrived; although there were at least two tables available we were not greeted or seated for almost 10 minutes. We seen 5 different waiting staff before one came to speak with us. Once inside the service was efficient and friendly. There is a wide menu catering for all types of tastes although we had expected a few more Caribbean inspired dishes. The Jamaica Inn menu is available on their website. The food is top quality, the portions sufficient for even the very hungry diner and the prices very reasonable. This was our first visit and we will definitely return if we are staying in the area again.

Dog friendly covered outdoor area with heaters and great views. The menu has great vegetarian and vegan options. One of the nicest seafood meals that I've had (the seafood chowder is amazing!)

Had a wonderful experience here, food was excellent and staff were very attentive and really knew the menu had first hand experience of what tasted good and what was in it. Really nice vibe. The food was good, I loved the muscles and the tart the best! Sorry I didn’t post pictures of dessert as the wine selection was also very good and I forgot!

Jamaica Inn is overall the best spot in Bangor. Great views and food is pretty good. Would like to see the menu changed from time to time. Music at weekends from about 9-30, also good.

Been here a few times now and ate in the beer garden at the front. Food is very good and the view is lovely. However the heat lamps are shared across two tables so if your neighbours put it on theres nothing you can do about it.
