Classic pub venue, near the Garth pier. Cool interior, with the walls full of interesting beer brands. Decent food, the only minus is the fact they didn't have half of the things we were initially planning to order.

We had a great meal here when they cooked for us even though we'd arrived after kitchen open hours. Enjoyed Thursday open mike for guitars, and then went back on Friday for our evening meal. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere made it a great place to eat and drink

New venture by providing a takeaway or self service sit-down fish and chips etc, inside the pub. You order at the range servery, pay and are given a pager. Find a table, go to the bar for your beer, lager or non alcoholic drinks. Sit down, enjoy the local atmosphere and wait for the pager to beep!! Go back to the servery to collect you order in a quality cardboard boxes which is part of the experience. Large and small battered cod option and generous portion of homemade chips (not pre frozen). Within 150m of the pier, so a ñice walk before and after a bonus to the visit. Reasonable prices recommended. Mel

Friendly staff and excellent food. After climbing Tryfan, i had the steak and guiness pie and my mate had the Bangor Big Boy burger both delicious , topped off with a window seat and a view of the pier. Highly recommended

Popped in for a quick lunch with the family and our dogs. Food portions were big and we struggled to eat anything for the rest of the day. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On a horrible weather day that visit put a smile on our faces. Thank you.

We enjoyed our fish&chips after the day out walking. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Toilets would do with a bit of work or repositioning but we we more concern with our hunger than that. ;-)) would recommend.

Visited the pub on a Bank holiday Monday, and was happy to see they were still serving food at 6pm. Just having arrived on holiday a few hours earlier, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of opening times or service. Was mightily impressed by the array of beers on offer though and past conquests were plastered all over the walls like badges of honour. Inside is a bit rough and ready, spit and sawdust style however, with each table inexplicably having a little plastic bowl on it. Which was weird. It came in handy to put all the empty sachets of sauce in, though. But I hate to see sachets in pubs, it's really cheap and offensive. The food prices seemed astoundingly cheap and I had a mixed grill for £7.60. Amazing value. It wasn't half bad either with gammon, minute steak, bacon, black pudding, chips, tommies and mushrooms. The only complaint being it was all piled on a sizzling plate with the chips underneath and no room to manoeuvre. My wife's steak however, at another wallet busting £6, was tough and chewy so you really get what you pay for. All in all, cheap and cheerful. Probably wouldn't go back this holiday but maybe next time.

Nice and cozy pub in Bangor, next to the Garth Pier. Food is served only after 6pm.

Fantastic customer service at the desk..the food was nice but the portions are extremely expensive for the amount you get.
