We visited Bangor for the first time , we had travelled from 4am and we were looking for somewhere to have breakfast. We spotted this little cafe and thought we'd give it ago.
The prices were little higher than we like to pay but once we had tasted the food it was def worth paying for !! The saying you get what you pay for springs to mind, all of us thought it was lovely and if we are ever in the area again we'd defiantly eat here again.
Really enjoyed lunch at blue sky. Great service, friendly staff and food was amazing. Really recommend the sloppy josephine and the thai tofu burger
I had the vegetarian breakfast. It was delicious and really filling. As always,a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff. Can't recommend it highly enough.
Just when you think you can't find a good place to eat when away on holiday.... and boom you find blue sky cafe.... well and truly recommend it... fantastic food with real flavour...
Oh my word what an amazing place to stumble across on.
Children catered for perfectly..
I had the calz toasties and husband had the wpesh rarebit with egg and bacon children sausage and chips and the chicken pitta. Well the plates were cleared. Every mouth full had a sense of quiet contemplation and a Mmmmm Mmmmm after it. Totally recommend and would come back x
A hidden gem! The lentils and bhajis are to die for. Can’t wait to return
Wow! Tucked away, gem, of an eatery. Plenty of veggie, vegan options. Plus some items can be done GF too. Great staff. Chilled place.
Awesome vibes, great looseleaf tea, delicious food and friendly staff. A proper delight xx
I honestly couldn't fault this café, from the very first visit every meal, drink and experience has been perfect. The staff are gorgeous and attentive, the atmosphere is peaceful and the prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and quantity of the meals! Every item on the menu is fresh, creative and delicious. It's certainly one of my favourite places to visit in Bangor, well, in general. I also cannot thank the owner enough for helping me to arrange a birthday surprise for my partner, who also adores the cafe, by arranging to create a beautiful chocolate cake especially for him and being so helpful and lovely throughout our discussions. I know for certain we will definitely return whenever we're given the chance. Flawless.
Had lunch here today. Have tried to come before but it's always too full so not able to get a seat, which is disappointing at the time but is a good sign that it's a good place. A relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. My husband and I had sandwiches, 1 blt and 1 ham jam & pickles. Was a really nice sandwich with plenty of the filling, very tasty indeed, and a pot of delicious coleslaw on the side. Will definitely be returning. We'll have to come early to make sure we get a seat.
We came here for our breakfast and we really enjoyed it 😊 we were back the same day for our lunch!! 😉 Food is really great! It's a lovely place with fantastic, very friendly staff 😊😊😊
Lovely menu of fresh food, lots to choose from. Loose tea served in lovely teapots. We queued to get in but totally worth the wait.
Brilliant place for a pit-stop! Loved the food & drinks menu choices (and prices), the cosy and sociable atmosphere with the background music and the staff were fab...wish we could have stayed all afternoon!
Love the food here , chicken is the best around . Gutted they don't do the chilli burger still !!!! I try not to tell everyone about here as it's busy enough
Just perfect from the fireplace, to the menu, staff and even the little cinnamon shortbread with my coffee! X
My favourite place to eat in bangor. Nice atmosphere and really good food.
Great artisan cafe. Probably the best cafe in Bangor. Real artisan food with homemade made and great and unusual specials. Generous servings and the sandwiches and platters are a treat! Wide selection of coffees and tees- and where else can you get things like tofu, baba ghanoush and smoked duck in Bangor? Can get pretty full and sometimes the wait for for is a little long
Fabulous place for breakfast, no doubt! Had th2 vegetarian breakfast course, egg with avocado toast, and scrambles eggs on sour dough, all were perfectly prepared and served. The French toast was yummy. All hot and cold drinks were fantastic (latte, flatwhite, iced flavoured latte, and tea). The staff was so sweet, and the overall atmosphere, including the interior decoration, was relaxing. It was an enjoyable experience that made the day for sure. Thank you guys!
Blue Sky Cafe has a hippy feel where everything has a subtle nod to being as sustainable as possible.
The food came quickly, and was very tasty, the refried beans worked wonderfully as soaking up last night’s alcohol.
And the bacon was brilliant, chard and tasty!
Also I can’t stress enough that you need to try their homemade ketchup 🤌🏻😘
Lovely eclectic dining experience. Loved the decor, but more so the food. The lamb flatbread was inspired and so well cooked. If you choose chips, definitely opt for the salt and pepper option.... Yum.
The only annoyance was that they couldn't accept us as a walk-in as busy, but I stood outside, phoned them, booked a table for that moment, and then walked straight back in and took our reserved table....
Taken here by my daughter which helped as it is up an alleyway off the main street. However it must be well known as it was busy throughout our visit with people of all ages. The decor is relaxed and quirky and makes for a good atmosphere. There is a good food and drinks selection. There are usual hot drinks and the hot chocolate is gorgeous. You can buy alcohol and homemade coolers. Menu caters for all including vegan and gluten free with reasonable prices. Chicken in pitta pocket and chips was 👍 good. Staff are really friendly and helpful. A hidden gem 💎 ✨️
Went to Blue Sky following a recommendation by a friend and a bit of Google reviewing. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area. Very welcoming atmosphere, excellent coffee and brunch. Went for the Chorizo hash which was 👌🏻. Will definitely be returning.
Very welcoming people, warm light nice and clean place. Staff dynamic, great service, and kitchen partially visible from room look organised and very clean. Iced tea delightful, food excellent. Local produces and it shows. Got a big blue breakfast, very good sausages, yummy home made baked beans and the grilled mushrooms were amazing. Clearly the cook cares about the food. Brilliant place, Highly recommend it.
Absolutely amazing food. One of the best Buddha Bowls I've ever had. Really good Vegan and Gluten free options. The coffee is incredible. The staff seem lovely. Deffinitely going to be coming here weekly.
Beautiful little cafe. A hidden gem. Real top notch coffee from local roasters and proper breakfast too. Every element of the breakfast was cooked to perfection. Top quality ingredients and local meat 👌 We had a great chat with the chap who runs it, extremely helpful and attentive.
Superb service. Great vegan soup of the day. They even stock gluten free beer!
Four of us called in here for breakfast after reading the great reviews. Just off the high street it's tucked away and you wouldn't know what a treat is in store without stepping inside. It's got a great trendy vibe and offers breakfast dishes with an extra special twist. We had, Waffle, Avocado Smash, Nduja and Eggs and Scrambled eggs on toast. All were absolutely delicious!! Would definitely recommend you search this place out and give it a try.
