Absolutely lovely visit to this cafe yesterday. The staff were super friendly and service was excellent. We had our puppy with us who also enjoyed some complimentary water and biscuits. Coffee was delicious too!
Always enjoy going to chatterbox. Can be quite busy around lunchtime, but we have never failed to get a seat for food. Very friendly service and I personally find the prices rather competitive compared to other similar establishments in Banchory.
A little light detail... A small breakfast with a coffee served around eleven in the morning will keep me going until my evening meal without further food on an active DIY day at the house.
Lovely wee cafe which was warm and friendly after a cold walk in from Crathes , had the soup and sandwich deal with a coffee , soup was a tomato and veggie broth and the chicken mayonnaise sandwich which was fantastic and a hot capuccino , the soup was ok but nowhere as good as the sanny .

Firstly, we have to recognise the the owners and staff have gone out of their way to ensure that this delightful cafe is as Covid-safe as possible. By creating private booths with plastic sheeting and reducing the number of tables they have, plus a high standard of cleaning, it all makes for a very comfortable visit.
We had some delicious home made soup and jacket potatoes. The service was prompt and friendly and the food did exactly what we needed - warmed us up and ensured we left with full bellies.
Absolutely packed when we arrived (as power to surrounding area was down due to storm damage) but despite that, the servers coped fantastically well. Lovely soup and toastie.

This is a nice cosy little cafe in Banchory. I opted for the soup and sandwich deal with a cup of tea. It is very reasonably priced because it was less than ten pounds for everything. I had lentil soup and it was nice and thick. I had a ham toastie with it and it was very nice. The staff were very nice and the cafe was pretty busy at lunchtime. There was a good mix of ages which is always a healthy sign.

I've been in Banchory for a couple of years but this was the first time I had ever visited the Chatterbox & it certainly won't be our last. I visited with my 4 year old daughter. I had a toasty & ordered a kids chicken nuggets, chips & beans for my daughter it was all lovely & cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive but not overly so. I was absolutely delighted when I went to pay & the lady said that my daughter's meal was free due to a summer holidays promotion. A very welcome surprise. I would definitely recommend it.

I loved the milk shakes one of the best I have had whoever the milkshake man is please give him a raise he deserves it after that. The soup was also delicious and would definitely recommend to anyone I know
Very friendly, helpful staff. Dog friendly too, huge bonus, my Angus enjoyed his wee pot of treats. Took strawberry tarts away with us for our afternoon cuppa, absolutely delicious.
I would highly recommend this tea room.

Had breakfast there one morning. My food was great. I had an egg roll but my mum ordered croissant and it was terrible. Went to get food 3.30 the next day and they weren't serving food even though it was 30 mins before closing which was disappointing.
Friendly, attentive staff and a lovely full Scottish breakfast! Only thing that can be improved upon from my visit is the coffee - Latte was too frothy and the milk was scorching hot... but these things happen.
Would go back!
