Stayed for a single night when visiting family in Banbury. The hotel is overall very good. Reception and bar area are clean and modern, the staff on arrival very polite and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean with a good sized bathroom. The room decor is a little dated but it was very clean, tidy and well maintained. The bed was a double but a king-size would have fitted no problem. The stairs to our room involved a few flights of stairs, up and down, up again, down again etc. A positive 4 out of 5 stars and for the price, our stay was very enjoyable.

All the staff were attentive and polite. Our room on arrival was not quite suitable due to my wife being unable to negotiate the bath tub. The receptionist changed the room without hesitation. Our room was clean and tidy bath towels were perfect breakfast was top quality and the one bar meal we had in our three night stay was very good. All in all one of the best mini breaks we have had anywhere in England. Highly recommended

Good hotel to stay in if visiting Banbury. The rooms are pleasant and it's a quiet part of Banbury. The breakfast was good, but as I have a nut allergy some things were off limits, as there was no information on the contents. Overall a nice stay though.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. Our room was lovely and clean and the beds were comfortable. The only noise I heard was the faint snoring from my husband! We opted to have breakfast, the food was delicious and there was lots to choose from. The lobby area was really peaceful. I enjoyed just sitting there on the Sunday morning reading the paper. We only stayed one night, I wish that it had been longer!!

Wonderfully welcoming staff, we arrived over an hour earlier than the stated check-in time, weary from our journey - room was ready so we were checked in quickly. Our assigned accommodation for the night was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. A peaceful night was spent, and in the morning the (pre-paid) breakfast buffet was well stocked with fresh fruit and fruit juices, a variety of cheeses and cold meats, baked goods, several cereal options as well as a choice of freshly cooked-to-order hot breakfast items. Every member of staff we had occasion to speak to was friendly and helpful, and check-out was speedily accomplished. 10/10 would absolutely choose the Best Western Banbury House Hotel again.

From the minute we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn't do more for us. They fully explained the facilities and checked to see whether we would like to dine at the hotel on our night of arrival, whether we would require an alarm call or newspaper etc. All the staff we came across during our stay were really helpful and made our stay pleasant. We would be happy to stay here again.

The breakfast was great, I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon!, mushrooms and tomatos. It was really tasty and good. The staff were helpful and ordered me a taxi for my interview. The bed was great and the rooms were much bigger than major competitors. They provided tea, coffee and biscuits in the rooms.

Convenient location with parking. Food was of a high standard and was presented beautifully. Guest rooms slightly dated although the restaurant, reception and lounge bar have been updated and look lovely. I would be very suprised if room updates are not on their way. Rooms were very clean

Lovely hotel and staff. Well placed, free car park. Such a shame that covid had to spoil our stay as we couldn't have a full English breakfast. The substitute take away continental was a good enough replacement. Would definitely recommend staying here

Excellent hotel close to the town centre. I was there with a group of friends for a 60th birthday party. The room I was in, 5, is well laid out with plenty of wardrobe space. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. Also, there was an iron with a board. A desk top fan also. No bath, but a electric shower over a tray. Only drawback was the shower curtains which sucked in on you. A small bar is in the foyer with a small selection of beers and spirits. Breakfast was not too large, well cooked and presented. This is waitress service, and there is a buffet continental breakfast also. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed two nights on a bed and breakfast basis. We also ate in the restaurant on both nights. The hotel is ideally situated for the town centre of Banbury and the railway station. The food standard is very good as is the service. We had a problem with the WC but this was quickly rectified with the offer of an upgradef room which we accepted. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Excellent friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way to make sure everything was OK for my wheelchair access. Cindy thank you you were brilliant. Why 4 and not 5 star? I'd have liked to stay for lunch but couldn't get to the dining room or bar as the hotel ground floor is on multi levels.

Our second New Year celebration here. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Reception and bar area has been given a makeover and looks super. Bedrooms are being updated this year. Rooms are perfectly acceptable if a little dated. Breakfast good and service very efficient and friendly.
