Came for dinner this evening with a large group of friends and I must say I was very impressed. The food was beautiful, the pub had a lovely atmosphere and it was warm and welcoming. The staff were polite and friendly and can't do enough to accommodate you. Thank you all, I'll certainly be returning in the future :)

Really enjoyed our easter lunch yesterday with family. My little boy loved his yummy fish and chips, and all other meals were delicious. I can highly recommend the roast beef for sun lunch. It was our second visit, can't wait to visit again soon

First class food and first class service at this most idyllic little pub! Nothing was too much trouble and we enjoyed a seat in front of the log burner after a cold and snowy journey!

Came upon this lovely gem of a pub and was very impressed, had light lunch of homemade soup and fresh bread, very tasty. Had a wander around this beautiful village , definitely worth a diversion of the main road 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Wow what a friendly pub. Everyone seems so friendly and happy here including the staff and the customers. Food was first class and served with a smile. The weather helped on the day and it was the hottest day of the year. Good choice of local beers. It's well worth a visit.

Great place! Great hospitable people! Delicious food! I only wish I lived closer because so I could visit more often. If you like old pub buildings that have been beautifully cared for, then please don't pass up an opportunity to call in here if you are in the area. I will definitely return someday.

Superb. Excellent tasting food with an uncomplicated menu. Beautiful lovely old rustic pub. Lovely lager and cider. Can't ask for more food and atmosphere wise . The chicken and truffle pie and the beef burger were exceptional

This is a great little pub with a ton of character. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing, especially the chicken which was piping hot, fab. If by any chance we're up this way again, we'll definitely be ordering the 8oz humongous burger again, they should call it a dinosaur burger! Oh, didn't think it'd work but the burger had slices of apple which I think was genius!

Took the family there and our 8 month old puppy (who can get quite excited!). We were all made to feel welcome from the start! The atmosphere was great, and the food was fantastic! I'm glad we've had family move nearby, so we're guaranteed to come back! Great find from Google when we were passing by!

Really lovely atmosphere in this old quaint village pub and a warm welcome. We struggled with the wheelchair so maybe not wheelchair accessible (I did phone ahead to check) also might be nice to have a gluten free option on the dessert menu.

Loved visiting whilst on a camping trip! We managed to get a seat outside in the sun, and all loved the outside area as much as the cosy, English pub vibe inside. Can't fault the food, drinks or service - just hoped for a bit more choice on the menu. What we did have was great though. Tried to get in contact with the pub to order some of the chocolate they sell on the bar, but didn't get a response using the email address saved on Google - maybe something to bear in mind if you're wanting to discuss something before visiting.

A beautiful pub nestled in a small rural setting. Great ale selection, really good food and the friendliest landlord + staff. What more could you want? Having chosen the rose & crown to cater lunch for my family on my wedding day I can say they even excel at private functions

Had a most lovely meal at The Rose & Crown, first class. Tasty piece of fish and the sticky toffee was absolutely divine. Would highly recommend. Good services and good value for money

Nice local pub. Good selection of well kept ales. It is in a nice village setting and there are benches and chairs outside for when the weather is good. There is not much dedicated parking but plenty of spaces in the adjoining streets. A pleasant rustic and local atmosphere.

Probably my fault but the only thing on the menu on Monday was pizza, the pizza was perfectly ok except for 4 of us the temperature of them ranged from cold to just right, i expect they were cooked separately and delivered at the same time. The garden was nice and the outdoor pizza oven and BBQ looked good, but must be for special occasions. Over all nice place

Really lovely village tucked out of the way in Ratley. Good food, but could do with a greater gluten free offering, but they're more than happy to accommodate alternatives. Very friendly and engaging host who clearly is passionate about making the place a success. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely lovely village pub, my friends and I were camping at Mount Farm Park. Over the weekend we made many visits to the Rose & Crown. Beautifully decorated to feel homely, and a proper warm welcome from the team. Great selection of local beers and some very good red wine.
