Great place for a meal. We've been at "The Snug" several times now, and it a fantastic place for a bite to eat. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and the food is fantastic every time we have been each dish is freshly prepared and tastes fantastic, starters mains and desserts. The service is great and the staff are super nothing is too much trouble, All in all 5 * well deserved.

Hungry and had forgotten this place. Last time here pre covid. Lady friend cried off so I was alone when I remembered here and popped in to dine.
Took a while for the lone waiter to get me a pint of Guinness and the menu.
I went for the lamb roast dinner with lots of mint sauce. Did you get not take too long to arrive. A good scoop of mash and two roasties with a few veg and beefy gravy. Topped with about four lamb slices. The tub of mint sauce lacked sugar and vinegar and just came out of a jar. But the main course was excellent. I ordered sticky toffee pud and again it was a large portion with blue berries and strawberry garnish. The pud was really big and had a scoop of ice cream with it. Fabulous.
I asked for an Irish coffee with instruction to put sugar in first and was offered various whiskeys. I just said whatever and the waiter said he would make it. Again it was fab and strong and hot and just right. The waiter was so helpful and chatty now the rush was off.
The bill was around £28.00 and reasonable for such a big and tasty dinner and excellent service. Recommended.

Cool Place to Hangout - Gud ambience n Yummy Burger
An absolutely amazing place to eat. I haven't eaten anything like it and was stuffed to the brim. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were mouth watering. Would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area let alone anyone visiting!!
Our first visit to the restaurant, it's comfortable with a lovely relaxed atmosphere & efficient, helpful staff. I had the garlic chilli chicken with dauphinoise potatoes, without cheese for me, carrots, broccoli & a lovely sauce. I enjoyed every mouthful.
Just back from Sunday lunch for my wifes birthday. Menu is not fussy and wow the food is cooked to perfection. Service and general rapport of the staff top class (even during challenging times for the hospitality industry). First time here and won't be our last. Well done The Old Tavern.
Booking was so easy. Arrived. Seated. Good quick service. Ordered. Food arrived in good time. Excellent flavour and quality. Good portions. Attentive service. Good decor. I can't fault anything about it. Prices very reasonable. Great steak deal at the weekends. Would recommend without hesitation.
