Can not recommend this place enough! We had my mum's 60th birthday dinner here on Friday night and they went above and beyond by decorating the room and tables at no extra cost along with complimentary tea coffee and orange juice. The food was out of this world and all the meals came out piping hot! The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much! To have our own room meant the kids that where there could run around and no worries about annoying any other customers! Will definitely be returning
At the Halfway House for a surprise 60th birthday, and I can honestly say it was an amazing evening. We were in a separate function room, with its own bar. The staff were so friendly and couldn't have done enough for us. They had the room decorated and table settings were beyond what we had hoped for. The food was amazing as well. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food and great service.
I had my 30th Birthday party last night 31/3/18 Easter weekend in the private function room there was 33 of us and 5 children I can’t recommend the halfway House enough the food was superb the service was fantastic the lady Steph that organised the party was so helpful from start to finish the whole evening was excellent thank you so much for making my birthday party a night to remember �
Have been here a few times, just for lunch. The menu has a good lot of choice and I have never been disappointed with the food. Excellent food, great portions and friendly staff �
So happy we stumbled upon this place after leaving Belfast. Such a cute, cozy atmosphere and the food is INCREDIBLE! Best fish n chips I’ve ever tasted, halloumi burger was also unique and tasty. And the sticky toffee pudding was fantastic as well (:
Took my mum here yesterday for a early dinner and the place was Amazing beautiful decor lovely staff and delicious food . The curried carrot and parsnip soup was so delicious as was my mums salmon and mash . Deff will be returning here x
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and generous portion size. Wide selection for intolerance with a separate gluten free menu.
Went on a Saturday evening and it was just wonderful. The restaurant is big but it has a cozy country feel to it. The food is incredible, I got beer battered fish whilst my husband got fillet and it was on the nicest meals we have had in a while.
Very reasonably priced and we would return.
My only suggestion would be to have the fire lit next time ;)

Really enjoyable atmosphere, my family felt comfortable and looked after, from the moment we entered the restaurant.

Surprised how busy it was on the Wednesday night we ate here.
Since most places are shut early in the week thought they must be doing something right to pull people in. The staff were very attentive, service was quick and plates were hot. Food was great, portion sizes good and reasonably priced too. Menu was varied so something for everyone. The pizza menu wasn't offered so must just be a weekend thing. All three of us enjoyed our meals, burger, pasta and roast beef dinner and will hopefully be back soon!
Visited today for the first time and were very impressed. When we entered the restaurant there was a lovely warm cosy feel about the place, the food was excellent with generous portions and the staff could not have been more helpful. We will definitely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending.
Just been to half way house for dinner, was v.busy but staff are incredible, worked off their feet and still manage a smile. Lovely warm/cosy atmosphere, food delicious and resonably priced will most definitely be back.
Called in on a Monday, it was one of the few places that was open. We arrived at 1pm with a table of 5, the staff were very helpful and the food was lovely, nothing was a bother for the staff as we stayed until 6.30, and they kept the drinks flowing as we were catching up with overseas family.
Booked a meal for my husband's 30th. The food was delicious and the service outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and we were a large party of 15. Thank you so much to Diane for making sure everything was perfect for us . Would definitely recommend and will certainly be back .

Worth considering here for a private function or get together,/ party.

We had our wedding reception here last week and it was incredible! Caorlan was amazing and so helpful and made it all very easy to organise particularly as my previous venue had cancelled with 6 weeks notice! The food was delicious and ALL of the staff (right down to the prep cooks) were very helpful and friendly at every stage of the process and made everything run smoothly on the night.
We will definitely be returning regularly now we know what a hidden gem the halfway house is!
We went for a birthday meal.with my gran in law.and we had a blast the food was absolutely fantastic and everyone who served us was great.
We stopped off at the Halfway House on our way home. My husband had a 10oz steak and I had salmon. Both dishes were very good and fairly priced. Unfortunately, a bit limited if you wanted to order zero alcohol drinks but other than that, very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Definitely would come back and would also happily recommend to family and friends.
Absolutely brilliant food,called today for dinner and it was delicious.

Had a brilliant meal here last night, both of us had the steak which was cooked perfectly, lovely atmosphere, very clean and staff were lovely. Stayed to have cocktail in the bar area. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.
