Went to check out the history, have a drink & a bite to eat and managed to go on the day they were closed because they got married !
Sarah (the bride) still invited me in to have a look around and see the photos.

A spare of the moment, visit for a burger and glass of wine. Must say the burger was one of the best we've had for long time. A dash of chilli jam gave it a little bit of a bite.
Highly recommend the home made food a pleasant welcome at the Hob Inn.
Absolutely delicious lamb shank and Gammon steak. Wonderful 2 hour tea in a sunny July afternoon. Lovely chilled atmosphere and pinot grigio under the parasol. Noreen on fine form. Top pub in Brig.

Great thatched building from the 17th century. Nice mixture of old and new. Staff were helpful and I enjoyed the Lancashire hot pot and sticky toffee pudding. Definitely be back
Took my daughter and grandson for a pub lunch today, ordered I the signature burger it’s best I’ve ever seen tasted ..as were the others meals ordered butter chicken burger and the kids meal
They were all fresh homemade superb quality, beautifully cooked and presented

Staff were pleasant. Food was a good standard although a little mould on the berries that they added on to the side of the plate of my dessert but not a huge issue
