Seemed like a good choice going off the reviews but it was a little disappointing The place is picture perfect from the outside and promises so much. We ordered 2 sausage sandwiches and a toasted teacake.... The sandwiches looked impressive but the bread roll it was served in was too much bread it over powered the sausages so ended up being really dry The toasted teacake was barely toasted so was like eating bread and I had to ask for more butter as it was very dry... I left half. Coffee was good The place is really cute with lots of little gift things and cards available to purchase.. Loved the macrame stars

Love this place. The staff are so welcoming, the food is always good especially the cakes and the veggie sausage roll was delicious. lots of flavoured fresh teas too Me and the cycling group often visit and it's a fab stop. Shame the back gate was locked as we usually lock our bikes up there but not really a big problem.

What a quaint little shop. Didn't stop for coffee though. Bought bread and cakes. Oh my..... the cakes were out of this world!

Delightful little place staffed by two equally Delightful ladies. The tea was large leaf in small pots but nice and malty. The cherry flapjacks were Delightful as well. £9.00 for two- recommended.

Nice little coffee shop and deli set in a pleasant village just to the South if Cambridge. Getting served was a little slow, but the staff were friendly. My large latte was more like a regular latte served in other places that is a bit small; however the quality was very good. I had an interesting vegan (?) sausage roll, it was not unpleasant but it was certainly different. The prices were reasonable and not be happy to return.

I recently asked an unusual request of this village shop and cafe. I live in Malaysia and wanted them to deliver a gift and card to my sister, who lives in the village. It was the owner's day off and yet she sorted a wonderful gift and card from their carefully selected items that they stock. An incredible personal service that saw my gift being personally selected from my indications of what my sister would like and delivered to her door. Above and beyond the call of duty and I think I probably need to take the owner for a pint when I'm next in Balsham!
