Stopped off on the way to Edinburgh for a quick bite. Three of us each had something different and everything was scrumptious. We were full after just the one course that we decided to take cakes with us which staff happily boxed up for us. Next hour was spent debating who was eating which slice of cake. At one point it was suggested we go back up and get two more of each slice we had and that way we wouldn't have to argue/debate or share! Definitely going to pop in again next time I'm passing.

A beautiful cozy place to stay for a night. The rooms are spacious , friendly staff and good breakfast. You will be located between loch earn and loch voil, and you can easily rent a bike to ride on great cycling routes in both lochs . You can also do some canoeing in loch earn as well. A small town called Callander is 20 mins away by bus in case you want to dine out and have a walk there .

Always stop off here on our way to the Highlands whether it's for lunch or dinner or something in between (never been there early enough for breakfast ). Lovely and friendly with beautiful home cooked food. Look forward to being there again at the beginning of June

My wife and I visited this delightful cafe just over a week ago on the way home from a week in Argyll. What a picturesque spot, with outdoor seating overlooking a gurgling stream, and plenty of parking - which had been recently landscaped most attractively! We had coffee, a scone and a tray-bake, all of which were delicious. We were intrigued by the "shark toilet" reference! But what made the stop most memorable was the warm welcome and friendly chat we had with the owners. Andrea seemed genuinely interested in our feedback even as passing customers. We wish them every success in their new venture!

Fantastic cafe! The owners are so welcoming and friendly and have made so many wonderful changes to the Golden Larches inside and out! Always a good meal, excellent coffee and yummy cakes! The wood burning stove and the views make the conservatory area a very cosy and lovely place to sit! Also very doggy friendly and not to forget the amazing Shark Toilet! A must stop on the way up north, highly recommend

Awesome service, delicious food and warm, friendly atmosphere. The couple running it were incredibly welcoming and chatty. Would highly recommend the carrot cake, you would never guess it was gluten free, a real delight for my partner who rarely gets to enjoy a dessert out! 😊

Popped in for a late lunch haven't been in since it changed owners. They have made the place very welcoming from the outside with their new exterior. On entering you are made most welcome we ordered the homemade smoked haddock fishcakes they are the best we have tasted for along time then followed by a huge portion of fruit crumble and custard which was also homemade it was absolutely delicious 😋. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff definitely visit again.

This place was on our road to Oban so stopped for a bite to eat before continuing our journey. Was lured in by the "World Famous" Shark Toilet!! Kids loved it! Great food and friendly staff. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Stopped on our way back from Oban as well! Would definitely recommend if travelling through the area. We'll definitely be back when we're up that way again.

Visited this cafe 2 weeks ago. Great cafe offering some terrific food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered americano and scone with cream and jam. It was homemade and tasted great. I will definitely visit again.

We had a delicious late lunch at the Golden Larches (shark themed toilet the kids would love). The new owners Andrea & Tim were so friendly, great service and a great menu choice. Just had our takeaway homemade scones for supper, they were absolutely delicious 😋 definitely worth a visit xx

We were travelling from Glasgow to Oban via Stirling and saw the countdown signs for this cafe. We were ready to eat so pulled into the adjacent car park. It is a dog friendly establishment which we were delighted about. We were greeted at the door by the owner who seated us in the conservatory. The menu is varied with lots of choice. Breakfasts are served all day. Our daughter had the full breakfast and we had Scotch Pie, beans and mash potatoes (a lovely alternative to chips that weren't available on our visit) and my wife had a bacon buttie in a morning roll. It was all delicious. They also offer take aways and B&B. Recommended.

Came across this by accident when travelling to Fort William. Convenient place to stop and then we were very glad we did. Incredibly friendly staff, lovely cakes and a great location. We sat in a conservatory to have our tea and pancakes and it was so nice. We purposefully stopped on the way back so I could have the pancakes again. Will definitely be a future stop when we travel that way. Can't recommend highly enough.

We stopped in for a quick coffee on our way home from Loch Tay. The lady who served us could not have been friendlier or kinder. She made us feel so welcome and was especially lovely to our little girl! Also, best scone I've.had in a long time! Delicious!
