We had an excellent lunch in the Central Bar. The seafood chowder was amazing. It was a lovely venue for meeting up with friends for a relaxing lunch. The decor was great and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend it.

Brilliant night spent in the central bar. Upstairs terrace was just opened that day and it is absolutely gorgeous! Us 10 girls were well looked after by all the staff they go above and beyond to cater for all your needs but shout out to Adam the barman upstairs he was brilliant! Would definitely recommend for a good night out either downstairs for live music or upstairs with a DJ on for a dance. Didn't want to leave! Will definitely return.
Great place, great atmosphere, great service, the best food and wines. Just fantastic. One you would not expect in this beautiful and remote place. We will return and also play some time.
We had dinner last evening at Central and it was a wonderful experience. We arrived in Ballycastle by bus from Giants Causeway and we were soaking wet from the rain, especially after a few minutes walk from the bus stop. We came in and were seated right by the fireplace so we were able to warm up and dry out. Our steak and chicken dinners were just excellent. The price was reasonable and our waiter summoned a cab for us to get out to our bnb a couple of miles away from town
Excellent, pleasantly surprised dinners we're top notch strongly recommend the 16 hour roast beef 5 star π

Folks the food is absolutely gorgeous .. everything is done to perfection. A must try is the Guiness bread πππ Smiling happy and helpful staff in a really friendly atmosphere π

The curry rice and linguini with seafruit tasted also very well and the size was more then enough. We can highly recommend this bar/restaurant.

Had food here Friday and Saturday of the Armoy Road racing weekend. Both evenings we top class. Food could not be faulted. Big portions, good service, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

We come to Ballycastle the same weekend every year and grab lunch here. Megan behind the bar introduced herself, nice touch, food really nice , had the chicken stack, absolutely loved it, was a little overpriced, for couple potatoes, small piece of chicken sauce and onion, hay o on my holidays, see you next year
Got seated straightaway and was served by friendly staff quickly. Had the homemade chicken curry and sticky toffee. Very good quality and large potions. Only 4 stars as the dessert came out in 3 waves so people had to wait.
Attended on Sunday at around 1pm, was very quiet which initially had us concerned, however once the food arrived we realised we had nothing to worry about. Seafood chowder with guiness wheaten bread is excellent, it is on the menu as a starter but you can request it as a main. The portion sizes were very big, the food was hot and the service was attentive. The prices are also fair for the amount of food you get.
We found the music slightly loud however this was the only flaw in what is otherwise a great bar. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Went here for lunch. Food is so delicious and the staff very friendly. Good vegetarian option on the menu too. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing.
As soon as we walked in, I was taken away by the magical atmosphere. The tables were packed with conversation and delicious smelling food.
I had a gorgeous fish pie with a beautiful cheesy mash topping - it felt like a perfect dinner in a Northern Irish coastal town. I finished the evening with a sticky toffee pudding, which was to die for!
I would say, however, we were slightly disappointed by the service. We were asked on three different occasions to confirm our desserts and my partner had to wait about twenty minutes to be given the bill.
We visited on Sunday the 18th of June while on a short break and have to say the food was amazing the kids loved it too, Compliments to the Chefs and kitchen staff. All the staff were welcoming , polite and attentive . They were happy and smiling its great to see people happy at work, Nice place with great food and staff.

We ate here one evening. The service was fast, but unremarkable. The food was decent but unremarkable. We had Caesar Salad, fish pie, steak and chips. Not bad but not great. Could do better.
We have visited a few times over the years and every time we come to Ballycastle. The food is good traditional pub fayre excellent value and great quality. The Chowder is delicious, good roast of the day. On top of that the service if friendly welcoming and efficient. Just give it a try.
A group booking, great variety on menu. Everyone enjoyed their meals, freshly made, plenty of food and very tasty. Am enjoyable night and lovely staff.
This is a great spot. We went early enough, around 7.30pm with the intent to get a meal and move on. However, the food was great and they had 2 cocktails for Β£10 deal, which we tried what must have tried every cocktail on the deal π.
Around 9pm or so they had a fantastic singer set up in the corner and she had the place buzzing all night. Was surprised to stay their all evening, but loved it. Great evening and night with super friendly staff, great food and great entertainment.
The Central Bar has to be one my favourite places to go when visiting Ballycastle, any food I've had with the family has always been cooked to perfection and without any problems and on the many excellent Saturday nights out in the bar the live music is fantastic,have to say that even though the bar staff are busy they were always on hand for anything you needed, especially these amazing cocktails.
