We enjoyed our visit in this historic place and café. Nice food and drinks, professional service and clean areas. I would visit again when there.
Absolutely lovely. Staff very polite and attentive. Beautiful decor. Pleasant ambiance. Would highly recommend.
Stopped off for a coffee and scone after walking the dogs. Went in and asked if there was anywhere we could sit with 2 dogs. They said they have a courtyard accessible from a side alley . The gate has to be open from the inside as it is bolted. Perfect! Waitress filled a water bowl with fresh water
Really enjoyed our visit to the Carriage Tea Room, lovely food, China, surroundings, friendly staff, well worth a visit, in fact, going to dinner tomorrow night!
Visited for afternoon tea, and it was lovely - as close to perfection as I've had in Aberdeenshire! Nice selection of sandwiches and a generous scone and cake / patisserie platter. The scone plate had real clotted cream too - fancy!!
The tearoom itself is immaculately done out, and the waiting staff
Delightful Saturday evening meal at the Bistro. Rarely is a meal out with young children relaxing, but the friendly attentive service, the private booths, and the delightful decor kept kids and adults both happy. The food was good quality and reasonably priced too. A win-win for our little family! 😁
What an amazing place, its fantastic what they have done.
Was very disappointed last night with GF selection so decided to have started as main course. Waitress although lovely had to go away several times to ask about GF. Surely staff should be trained to know these things. Got starter size portion, not main course portion! Waitress hadn't noticed. I ask
Refurbished Ballater Station which was destroyed by fire. They have enclosed the old Ballater Station platform, with Royal train carriage, within the new cafe which contains a separate private tearoom for this wanting a little more peace and quiet. Our family of four ate a snack lunch (see pics) and
It's a lovely cafe. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stop.

A friendly well stocked cafe, with history. Light and spacious but still retains its victorian heritage. An asset to Ballater.
The surroundings are fabulous and it's great to read about the history too. Very well priced coffee and cake too!
Delicious coffee and beautiful space. Staff were friendly and anxious to please.
Lunch was very good with excellent soup and cakes made by Crathie Bakery
Rather limited menu, but the food was excellent, and good value.
