One of the best places I’ve eaten in a long time. Was in glencoe for 4 nights and we had dinner here 2 nights in a row. Great food and great service from the team. Would 100% recommend this place. My little girl loved the Mussells and Terrine 👍👍

We're lucky enough to live within walking distance of this restaurant. We have been many many times, the record so far is three times in one week. The food is exceptional, having eaten in three Michelin stared restaurants, one of them Alan's this is a qualified statement. If you can get a booking you'll never regret eating here. A firm favourite !

Ate here on Saturday night. We were a party of 7. Service was quick. Staff very friendly and welcoming. All of the meals looked amazing. I had the shin of beef and all I can say is WOW. The beef melted in your mouth and the sauce was out of this world. Will definitely be back.

Visited twice whilst on holiday July 2016 one lunch time and one evening meal. Varied and imaginative menu. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced for such quality. The staff are friendly and attentive without being too intrusive; a nice feel to the place. A little gem!

Food is so good! There is a little outdoor space for drinks and food if you’d like. Prob best restaurant in a couple towns around here. We had dinner here. Got the soup of the day (spicy sweet potato) which was so nice and the highland terrine. Generous portions. For entree we had the sirloin steak and the lamb. Both were cooked to desired levels excellently. Tip to come early before kitchen closes (roughly 8pm) and make a reservation.

The starters were good: the Haggis Bonbons were amazing and the sweet potato soup was very good. The mushroom soup however was too strong/bitter to our taste. The service was lacking: we ordered the sea bass as main and after 40 minutes of waiting the waitress came back and told us they are out of sea bass.

We arrived just before 13.00,and once we actually got in (the door was locked and it took twenty minutes before I found someone to unlock it despite me phoning, banging on doors and windows and going to the kitchen door) the place was okay. The decor is a bit tired looking, but the food was very nice.

Excellent food and totally fairly priced for the quality. I had the scallops and sea bass. Delicious! We had a total of five dishes and two glasses of wine. We paid £90

I had noticed this place was really busy on a previous trip to the west coast so we decided to go have a look and boy did we get a surprise, we didn't know what to expect food wise and tbh the standard was surprisingly high and explains why it was so busy. I had haggis bonbons with Drambuie sauce followed by pork belly with black pudding and scallops and my fiancé had double cooked smoked haddock souffle followed by salmon and sea bass en croute. All the food was top class and considering the quality very good value for money. We will definitely eat there any time we are in the area.

Such a small town and such a great restaurant! Excellent menu put together by a Michelin star chef. Prices are reasonable. Reservations recommended. Also, check out the bar. It's a great place to have a cold beer with the locals.

Food was fantastic!!! A bit of a struggle to get a hold of them to make a booking but well worth it once you do (definitely recommend booking ahead as it gets busy!). Service was friendly. The menu has a lot of great items. We had the seafood and beef specials which were both excellent. We got the cheesecake and chocolate tart for dessert which were both delicious (though we wished the cheesecake was slightly larger 😜)

Laroch, you were lovely. I would give you ten stars if I could! Before we finished our meal we were already booking a table for the next night. I had steak one night, and lamb the next and both meals were wonderful and the service was spectacular. The haggis bon bons we got both nights- they were delicious! I got mussels the next night and they were also amazing. The steak and lamb were both perfectly cooked. Thank you for two memorable and fantastic meals!

We were not expecting anything special due to casual nature of the pub but the food was very good with some options that could be considered fine dining. Highly recommend the goat cheese starter and the seabass fillet with risotto.

Good service, helpful, friendly and efficient headwaitress. Mussels are a bit over cooked and not enough liquor other than that everything else are top notch cooking. Brilliant pan-roasted Scottish venison, juicy local lamb chump, and braised belly of pork with scallops. 10 out of 10 for all three dishes. I'd give 11 if venison comes with red wine or port jus. One of our party chose spicy venison burger.....ah well, it's not worth talking about.

We had an excellent meal. The food was first rate. Beautifully cooked and presented. There was some confusion over orders for both drinks and food, and the bill, (maybe my accent wasnt very clear!) but the staff were really patient and cheerful throughout - even when we managed to knock an almost full glass of red wine over! It was busy, but the staff kept an eye on all the tables, ensuring no one was left waiting too long.

If you stop by The Laroch you MUST have the mussels. They are fresh as you can get, and the broth is spoon worthy! Absolutely wonderful food!

What a surprise! Food was incredible. The haggis bonbons are very special. Top quality food at very reasonable prices. Service was very friendly but perhaps lacked some attention to detail (if I'm being picky). Beautifully cooked venison dish & really special lamb. Interesting veg with both and huge flavours. We had a lovely meal and an a lovely evening. Worth a visit just for the haggis bonbons...

Unfortunately they had no more space inside but we could still sit outside. It was a bit cold but better than no food. The fish and chips are good. The fish is very large and delicious. The chips could be more salty and crispier.

Food was mouthwatering. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Ballachulish 🏔 We had 2 seafood starters - scallops and mussels. The scallops were the best I’ve ever had & mussels were also incredible and full of flavour. They definitely source local and you can taste it in the meals. For my main I had the seared sea bass for and my partner had the veal. We were both astounded by the food quality and service was kind and accommodating to my dietary requirements too. Drinks were also amazing 🍺🍷

It was 3 of us and we had variations of burgers. Maybe was not the best choice to put in light the quality of the kitchen - however we found the meat too well done and we were left with a full-stomach feeling for the rest of the day (we ate at lunch). Overall a nice place with warm service, but compared to other places in Scotland, i find this a 4-star. But recommended, definitely.
