White Lion Royal Hotel - Bala - Photo album

Well I just want to say what a welcome. Just went in with the 2 dogs expecting to be seated somewhere out of the way on bare floors as usual. But we were told they were very welcome and could sit anywhere. Food was fast, lovely and beautifully presented by very happy staff. The place was clean and f
Have not stayed at the hotel so cant review the rooms but have stopped for a drink and a meal a number of times when passing through Bala. Very warm, comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. Bar service is usually quick too And i love the burgers here, i always have one when we stop. The missus
Great hotel which I have given 4 stars due to limited parking and quite noisy at night (think we may have been over the kitchens etc). They are exceptionally dog friendly which was great. On arrival our dog received water, treats and a bed. The staff are fabulous and really do go out of their way to
Bala is stunning. The White Lion had uncomfortable beds, but wonderful showers, and impecable service. I was too tired to mind the noisy halls. The rooms were very clean. Lenka, the gal at the breakfast service was amazing. She made that an entire experience. They had vegan options which I and my mo
Went for a meal whilst in Bala - nice atmosphere & really great value for money. Large restaurant area which was spoilt in part with TVs being on and quiet load. Food not fancy but good quality and tasty. On Saturday night in October busiest place in town. I would recommend if staying in Bala tow
Had a lovely weekend in Bala the hotel was great with good service. A clean and tidy room was provided. Good value for money! Would definitely stay again.
Room lovely and clean, barry was very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely. A bit of communication between the waiters would go a long way, on the evening shift. The lady on breakfast duty was very nice and really put in an effort. Had a brilliant stay and will come back again.
Right in the middle of High Street Bala, on Street 1hr parking if you want just a drink. But, if you want to tuck in to their extensive excellent food menu, then the economic town car park gives an cheap 2 hour or more stay. Service very good but they got fairly busy at lunchtime.
Great place to stop off. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly. Not many Gluten free options on the menu but the food is well cooked and well presented. Enjoyed the stay here. Will recommend. The location is great for the lake at Bala. The hotel is dog friendly too.
A nice pub in the centre of Bala. Excellent food. Eaten here a couple of times now. Recommended the pint and skewers on Wednesday for £15.00. Peri Peri skewers are good with a pint of purple moose ale. There are more tables outside round the back of the White Lion next to the car park. They get the
We stayed for two nights in July. Nothing much in Bala town but the White Lion is a lovely hotel, very spacious with lots of areas inside and outside to sit and eat/drink. Amy - on Reception - when we arrived was so helpful and the lady serving breakfast each morning was very pleasant also. Nice peo
Situated in picturesque north Wales. It's a beautiful old hotel which has retained many of It's period features. But the mod cons and services are all up to modern standards. We used it as our base of operations whilst out motorcycle touring in the surrounding areas. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I
Best pub in Bala (done them all) largest selection of cask ale on, usually three, being mostly purple moose and decent quality and price. Good food menu and selection.
The rooms were nice and clean when we came in, although we couldn't find the hair dryer. The location is good if you want to go to Llyn Tegid [Bala Lake] or North-West Wales. Our breakfast[ traditional English] was plentiful and the food was tasty. The staff were kind to us and they gave us our food
