We brought a selection of bakes to take home to try and we were not disappointed! The Bakewell tart was delicious and one of the best we’ve tasted. It was especially delicious with some creamy custard! The Bakewell pudding was something we’d not heard of, but worth a try. It’s puff pastry based and
The customer service was excellent. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We visited to try the gluten-free Bakewell Tart and were not disappointed. It's a huge portion served with cream, ice cream, or custard. I couldn't finish mine so it was wrapped up for me to take away. T
The customer service was excellent. The staff are very friendly, attentive and polite. I don't think I've ever experienced such amazing service. The food was really tasty, we ordered a cheese & onion pastie and a potato bake, both served with salad and coleslaw. The best part was obviously the bak
Called in for dinner. I ordered homity pie and Australian sticky chai. My pie was delicious and every bit was eaten. I ordered the Chai as a change from my usual Latte, so glad I did, tasty doesn't describe it. I would love to be able to make that myself. This place would be my every day visit if it
It's located in the centre of Bakewell and quite close to the Bakewell Bridge. It offers various assortment of Bakewell Tarts and Puddings, range of pies, cakes, and local jams. Staff is friendly and accommodating. However it's not spacious enough to accommodate more people for seating in. Tables an
We was told when you visit Bakewell, you have to try a Bakewell tart from the Bakewell tart shop so we did. The front part of the shop is so small we joined the back of the queue and we were stand just outside the door. Despite the queue we were served quickly, the staff were very efficient and poli
It was absolutely ramo when I visited in the week, I’m sure the rain had a big role to play in that! I got some quick bakewell takeout to enjoy at home and my word, did we enjoy. Never had a bakewell quite like it, so nutty and moist with beautiful crunchy pastry. I am happy this place isn’t too clo

My husband and I stumbled across The Bakewell Tart Shop several years ago whilst heading to Durham and this shop is the sole reason that we've returned to Bakewell time and time again. We got engaged in Bakewell and celebrated by having lunch in The Bakewell Tart Shop, we later got married in Bakewe
Retraining as a ploughman to justify this lunch. Simply the best ploughman’s lunch I’ve ever had. The Huntsman’s pie was so tasty. Pork, chicken and stuffing. Such great portions I saved half to take home and I don’t usually ask for a doggy bag. We always visit this shop when we’re in Bakewell. The
One of my favourite cafes in the land! Always friendly, amazing service and the best meals in the cafe. Today my husband and I tried the afternoon tea… and it was absolutely heavenly. The best scones I’ve ever had by a country mile. More than happy to recommend and bring friends!
You just have to go here! The original Bakewell Tart is devine! I had it with ice cream and my husband had custard. Friendly service but the food is the experience. You won't be disappointed
Well this was a delightful find. We stopped off to have Bakewell tart in Bakewell and this place was a delight. We were shown quickly to our table and given menus. The gentleman serving came back quite quickly as they had a party of 10 in and wanted to get our order in quickly. Service was excellent
Tasty food and good value. Pie and mash was great. Bakewell tart was enormous, and delicious, but was on the chilly side when served with hot custard - would have been better heated. Well worth a visit if in the area.
Whilst we were on holiday popped in for a drink. I have to say all staff were extremely friendly which is rare sometimes in this day and age. Shane was especially polite and make our experience lovely. The owners should be very proud of the business and staff that they have.
Lovely little cafe and shop. The staff were rushed off their feet but still provided quick, good service. Our food was delicious and the cakes we brought from the shop to takeaway were as well. Some of the nicest cafe food I've ever had. Would definitely recommend 👍
