Original Bakewell Pudding Shop - Bakewell - Photo album

This was so good we ended up eating there three times. Morning, afternoon, late afternoon. I’m not a big fan of English Breakfast, I must admit. What I was served was good and not soaked in fat and so, which I really appreciated. My poached egg was unfortunately a hard boiled. I was on a 4 out of 5
The Bakewell pudding at this place was absolutely delightful! Its texture and flavor were spot on. However, I must admit that the tart was a tad too sweet for my liking. Maybe I should have ordered Almond flakes instead of iced topping. On the bright side, the coffee served was also excellent, compl
Nice little shop. I must admit I only knew of this place due to watching Susan Calman's Grand Day Out TV show. The food was fresh and lovely. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. Will return if I'm ever back In the area. We had lunch in the restaurant upstairs then took fresh Bakewell away with
A must visit! My first visit to Bakewell with my partner lead me here and it did not disappoint. The service from Callan was impeccable, restaurant was lovely and the Bakewell Tart/ Pudding were the best I’ve ever eaten in my life. Cannot wait to go again
Went with my husband and 18 month old. Food was delicious and came very quickly. We had lunch and then had some tea with the Bakewell pudding and a Bakewell tart. Atmosphere was very lovely and cosy. Staff were friendly ☺️
We had taken away Pastel denata, the famous Bakewell tart and Bakewell Pudding from here..all are super delicious. Staff was lovely. We didn't get chance to sit and eat there as it was nearly their closing time.
Didn't visit the shop/bakery on the ground floor, but visited the restaurant on the first floor. Really nice seating area. Slightly disappointed with the selection for soft drinks, and the blender not being in operation so no freakshakes were available. But the cake (and wide selection of cake!) did
I was quickly sat and served in the cafe by friendly professional staff. A very tasty Bakewell pudding served with custard and a pot of tea made for a delicious brunch. However, later in the day I came back to the shop and there was an extensive queue snaking through the shop. A lot of breads didn't
Came to Bakewell as part of a holiday and this place was highly recommended and I now understand why! Ordered Bakewell Pudding and Bakewell Tart and they were both extremely delicious 😋 the portion sizes are extremely large and great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to all tourist
Very busy shop and restaurant. My mum wanted a proper bakewell pudding not tart so we had to go here and buy her one to take home. Service was great.
Within the Derbyshire Dales, the Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop is a must see shop to attend. Like many other shops in the area, this shop was ram packed with tourists from all over which was perfectly fine and expected. My partner and I browsed the well laid out, organised and structure shop. I
Popped in for an original Bakewell pudding whist on a cycle ride along the Monsal trail old railway line. Saw it on Google and on TV so had to give it a try. Went on a Sunday lunchtime in September and there was a long queue of tourists for the take away but it was worth it. Took it back to the camp
We visited the Original Bakewell Pudding Shop because of some recommendations on google and it was totally recommended. It was quite different with the kind of “Pudding” I knew, but it was very delicious. There are 2 sizes of it, the small one and the big one. The big one can be shared for up to 4
A must-have in Bakewell and the perfect stop after a long walk. It’s no wonder the queue was out of the door! So many baked treats and a lovely gift shop too. Delicious Iced Bakewell Tart. We didn’t use the restaurant, so can’t comment on that.
Lovely Tea Rooms. Lovely variety on the menu. Huge cake slices! Very nice shop downstairs.
Coming to Bakewell it would be rude not to try the original version! The building alone has plenty of character and filled with delicious treats and giftware. Service was quick and friendly, the Bakewell comes in three sizes small medium and large we went for the medium at around £6. It’s very sw
The decor is stunning, the food so tasty I highly recommend the all things Bakewell afternoon tea (for one is plenty for 2) and their tuna sandwich & beef mustard sandwich are winners. The original Bakewell pudding was by far the best dessert.
