The food was 5/5, we really liked it. They only lost a point for putting everybody together when there was space to seat people apart, so we ended up sitting next to a big loud group of strangers even though there was plenty of space elsewhere. I never really understand why places do that. Definit
Perhaps one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited. Friendly staff, nice restaurant and most of all great food at a reasonable price. The downside is, I keeping with the rest of Bakewell, the prices of drinks soft and alcohol are extortionate. Enjoy the great food but ask for a jug of water.
We had slipped lunch and agreed to a table at 6:30 pm and the restaurant was already quite busy when we arrived. Service was excellent and all of the staff are very attentive. The food was lovely and generous portions. I went with the chef's favourite dish and I can see why they like it. All in all
Came here on a whim and was the best decision I made. The best Indian food I have ever had. Great selection of dishes and were served on a heated tray which was a great touch. Decor is a bit dated but I really don’t mind because the food was phenomenal
UPDATED I visited again!!! You know what? I wasn't disappointed, awesome experience like the previous time. FIRST TIME: Nice experience. Top-notch customer service and the food was very nice. I'll eat here over and over and over! Covid-compliant too. 👌
Great food and wonderful service. We had the mixed platter for starters which was amazing and really worth the buck. Also recommend the locally brewed beer called Jaipur and a dessert called matka that was a perfect end to the meal.
Absolutely great atmosphere, food delicious, brother in law, had chicken chatt starter best things he's ever had in an Indian 💕 few things I've never seen on a menu before 👍 over all 8 out of 10
Food was decent. Had better, had worse. Service was polite and helpful - explained and recommended food. Serving a the table was good. Menus were quite old and the place itself needs some redesigning. I think I‘d go for a second try.
Best Indian restaurant I ever eaten in. The flavor was amazing and the staff very friendly. I would highly recommend coming here. It so good I am coming again on holiday just to eat here!
Recommended! I asked for “extra hot/spicy” lamb jalfrazi and the container was labelled “mad hot” 😁 and it was delicious! Thank you. I tasted some of the chicken tikka dhaal and it seemed like really high quality meat and tasty sauce. As was the veg main/sides. Poppadum, naan and onion barjs all s
Despite the fact that there were some very negative comments about this restaurant on trip advisor we decided to give it a try while staying in bakewell. I am very glad we did as we found the food to be very good and the naan bread was the best i have ever eaten
Great flavoursome curry! Really good 👍 just what we needed. I would come back again.
Loved the food and the service here, so much that we came back a second night! The aloo dal was especially delicious. We can also recommend the saag paneer, tarka dal, and garlic naan.
Tasty and generous portions…an extensive menu and staff very helpful on recommendations.
