This place is fantastic.
We came for a night away in Bakewell having not been before and booked Arthur's based on reviews and the menu. We were not disappointed.
Front of house staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The food was outstanding, beautiful flavours and presentation and portion sizes were perfect.
The selection of drinks on is fantastic too. Lovely choice of cocktails, beers and spirits.
When we next come to bakewell we will definitely be dining here again. Wholeheartedly recommend.
What a fabulous find! Love the whole look and feel of Arthur's. Couldn't fault the quality of the food or the service. We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary but I'd be equally happy meeting up with a group of friends or family. If you love food then you'll love it here! And if you enjoy a cocktail that's one more reason to save this to your favourites.
Lovely place, such a friendly staff and the food was amazing. Definitely will gonna come again and 100% i do recommend this place.

Beautiful location and our waitress of the evening 'Sky' was very attentive and took everything in her stride with a smile.

Where to start? The front of house staff are excellent - attentive but not pushy - and really helpful. The food is just fantastic. Portion size is perfect, and all of our food was well presented, tasty and worth every penny. Booked this place on nothing more than the reviews here and really happy that my parter and I came to Bakewell and didnβt miss out on this restaurant.
Went to Arthur's with my family and will definitely be returning. They offer an extremely wide and diverse food and drinks menu that makes it impossible to not suit everybody, however, it is the attention to detail that really makes this place. Every cocktail comes out looking as beautiful as the previous one, all the food is beautifully presented as well as tasting delightful and the service from the staff is spot on. We ended up having a three course meal (not originally intended!!) They have a wide range of local beers, it is lovely to see them supporting and caring for the businesses around them! I really hope this new venture works out for the family running it as it really is a special place. I can't wait to return!
This place is so deceptive from the front entrance. Once you're in, it leads through to a fantastic dining room featuring wooden panelled walls. We we shown over to a table by the window in the dining room by the lady who manages the place with her partner. She talked us through the menus and pointed us in the direction of the specials board. The other gentleman then came over and took our food and drinks order. We shared a bottle of prosecco and he brought us over some refrigerated tap water which was a nice touch. When the food arrived, it looked fantastic and tasted even better. All in all it was a really pleasant experience and we will certainly be returning in the near future. A real hidden gem in the heart of Bakewell!!!!
We visited Arthur's today for a birthday lunch with my husband and 9 month old daughter. The meal was delicious and the staff were so welcoming.
Such a lovely modern restaurant to dine in. Definitely a place to recommend.

Could not fault the experience of Arthur's.
We were on a weekend away in Buxton so decided to head over to Bakewell for some dinner and stumbled across Arthur's.
The food was nothing short of exceptional in a beautiful setting that you would not expect from the outside.
A wonderful family run resturant with a story.
We had the risotto balls and textures of mushrooms to start. Both such exceptional favours and different to what we expected (in a good way!).
We have the braised lamb and steak for main. Both dishes were remarkable and you could tell all local produce. Both cuts of meat absolutely full of flavour and the little detail like the bowl of saucy tomatoes with the steak really made it next level.
For dessert we tried thier take on a banana bakewell tart with an Irish coffee to share. Once again, both absolutely delicious and different.
Don't forget as well to get the cocktails, a passionfrut mojito and a carabean ice tea were our choices. So much flavour in large glasses so great value too.
Highly recommend a trip to Arthur's! We will be going back again. Not only was it all remarkable it was very reasonably priced too.

Had lunch here today with my wife.
Service, food, drinks and more importantly the cleanliness were all perfect. I had the steak, asked for it to be cooked medium rare and guess what I got, a truly medium rare steak. Sounds simple but it's not often you get the perfect steak, i did today. My wife had the Goulash and that was just as good. Icing on the cake Cocktails 2 for Β£10 on certain ones.
Brilliant, my only complaint is we live in Sawley near Nottingham and wish you were here.
We will be back for sure meanwhile we wish you every success you deserve it.

4th visit & I absolutely love this place. The food is presented professionally, tastes fresh and just the right amount. Service is excellent. I've only ever been in the day time, yet to dine there in an evening.

This is a gem, very deceiving from the outside if you make the effort to step inside you will not be dissappointed the cocktails and food are both top Notch and all obviously made fresh to order, the service is both friendly and professional. It has a nice lunch/drinks area as you go in but then also beautiful restaurant out of sight. Canβt wait to return.
Food was excellent. Small number of staff on but they worked hard to ensure all went well for the diners. Will definitely go back next time we visit Bakewell.

We always visit Arthur's when in Bakewell. The new Chef has some exciting ideas and the food is excellent. Holly and Dave are always welcoming and the cocktails are delicious.
What a find! Beautifully decorated, food was amazing. Plenty of options for veggies and vegans. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.
