I've got to admit I had reservations being vegan and coming to a pub that's known for its carvery for a Christmas meal. We had lovely starter and main, good portions too. I couldn't finish mine as lovely as it was. Fruit salad was the only dessert choice but that was fine after a big meal. (A bit of vegan ice cream would be nice though) all in all we had a brilliant night. 10/10

Our bowling club go here every year for a day of bowling and a meal. Can't fault the place. The food is amazing, as are the portions. Friendly staff too. The green is a challenging one to play on but it's in good condition considering what takes place on it through the year. Highly recommended.

This is what I class as the best carvery in the world. Chef gives big portions of 4 selections of quality meats and big variety of veg with mushrooms to die for. Staff are friendly and some have worked there for years which is always a good sign. I’ve been going here for donkeys years and can honestly say I have never once been disappointed.

Lovely place lovely staff lovely food. What more can I say. And I was only the driver. Bought a party of bowlers from Old Plough in Sale but this place is well worth a visit whatever your cause.

Well I had read the reviews BUT still I was totally blown away with our visit. Our table was booked and due to a family emergency our table had to be put back for two hours. The staff could not have done anymore for us. The bar area is wonderful, the food was faultless, all the staff are friendly and helpful. My only criticism is WHY have I never been before. This will not be our last visit and cannot wait to have boozy summer evenings there.

Can't praise them enough. Jon was wonderful when I rang to organise a party of 25-30 people. He put entertainment on for us, ( a rock duo called Clark and Page) and we were all seated and fed on time. The food was excellent. Not many of the party could manage all 3 courses. The waitresses were all very friendly and efficient and we will definitely be going back. Thanks again guys for a great evening xx

Came here for a birthday do recently and it wouldn’t be somewhere I would usually go - but this has definitely changed! Carvery was incredible - no skimping on the meats! Deserts were great, had an Oreo cheesecake. Would highly recommend, will be back again soon!

Absolutely wonderful. My 60th birthday and with family everyone wanted a roast dinner. They have carvery. We were all very impressed. The service was fantastic. The staff are a wonderful team. The chef came into the restaurant and asked after all the customers. Finally the desserts, stunning. Lots of carvery places pay lip service to puddings. Not here. Very very good. We are coming here again. I highly recommend. Top marks to wonderful staff.

Had our daughters 21st birthday meal here last night and wow what a fantastic night. The food was absolutely delicious and the owners couldn't have done more to make us all feel welcome and made sure we were all catered for..even fixing a broken birthday cake..played personalised birthday music to the birthday girl and gave an extra cake out for free. Thankyou so much for a wonderful night and we won't hesitate to come back again 5 stars x

An excellent venue in all things. My bowls club had a day out at the Rose 'N' Bowl. The green was in excellent condition & great to bowl on. We started the day with breakfast which was nicely cooked. We then played a tournament which lasted the whole day (which I won😁) then had the carvery. Most of us had the 3 course meal which was excellent value. The food was stunning. The meat just fell apart & the vegetables were nicely cook. All the food was the best I had eaten at this sort on venue in a very long time. I certainly will be going back soon & taking my family with me. The staff were friendly & attentive; nothing was too much in making sure all our needs were met. I made a point of saying thanks to the chefs & waiters as well as the managers which they appreciated. Please take the time to go to the Rose 'N' Bowl you won't be disappointed. They have an annual world gravy wrestling championship on 26 August 2019 to raise money for their local hospice. I'll be going to give my support & to have more to eat!! Just hope they don't recycle the gravy afterwards for the carvery!!

It's clean, friendly, and well maintained. The carvery was excellent. Nothing over cooked or mushy. Fab choice of veg (carrot n swede (I think, didn't check), peas, broccoli, cauliflower cheese), mashed potatoes, boiled potatoes with skin left on, giant homemade made to perfection Yorkshire puds, tasty thick gravy, stuffing. I didn't have the stuffing, but Grandma couldn't help but comment how delicious it was. A selection of 3 meats, you can have all 3! All the correct condiments and mint sauce is an option in as well, because you never know! The meat choice was gammon, beef, and turkey. All 3 were juicy! The venue made me nostalgic of the late 90's style pub carvery from back in my teenage days. Some may say dated, I saw retro/ vintage. Really enjoyed our Sunday tea! We didn't have starters, but we did have dessert. We weren't shown a menu, but we were invited to the cake display and asked to choose. For me, it was missing a Victoria Sponge, lemon drizzle, or carrot cake. The children could not decide with chocolate fudge, biscoff, and other various sumptuous treats on offer. The chocolate fudge was divine according to my 10 year old. I had a trifle, which was a little disappointing as the fruit it contained seemed to be tinned. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. It was enjoyable. I just prefer fresh fruit if it's included in a trifle. My homemade trifle doesn't have fruit in, just some sherry instead. This is just personal preference. For me, that extra star would have been given for a dessert selection that pleased my preferences. This place might be 5 stars for you! No complaints, left happy. Thanks Rose n Bowl! An excellent family meal out 😋

Part of a Bowls trip from St Georges Hollinwood Ave, very tricky green, steep steps for the elderly require great attention, food and service and the Chef,s drone went down well! Good trip👍👍

Went yesterday for some drinks and food and I was very impressed. Had bangers and mash. Sausages were massive and quite possibly the best I've ever had. Was about £8/9? Really good value for money. Staff were friendly and attentive too + cheap drinks. Will definitely be returning.

Had a trip over to Rose n Bowl for a Sunday Carvery. Choose this place after great reviews online. We were not disappointed. Best roast beef and Turkey we have ever had, very impressed. Ham joint was also excellent. Warm welcome from the team and great service from the Master Carver serving up the meat. Not too busy at 2pm Sunday, but young waiting on staff could have followed up for more drinks, deserts etc as we had to ask each time. Overall great food and worth a visit if your looking for an unlimited Carvery.
