Arrived without booking & helped to a table with a drink to wait as they were busy. Taken through to eat really quickly by friendly helpful staff. Loved that no one flinched when special needs were mentioned & catered for. The meals were great & I'd happily recommend it.

Really great experience. Booked a large group of us in at relatively short notice. Service was friendly, quick and professional. Meals served quick, were very tasty and eaten overlooking the beach and sea 💕Although there were some renovations being carried out it didn’t distract from the experience and the renovations that have been completed so far - especially the games room - are excellent. All in all would recommend!

Stayed in the campervan. Host so very welcome and accommodating, staff very friendly Food was lovely, location is just perfect 👌 Ongoing refurbishment, only reason I've given it 4 stars, could be 5 once they've finished updating. Highly recommend. Thank you Poachers Pocket 🤩

We stayed in a chalet for seven days with an incredible view of the sea. The chalet was smaller than we expected but clean and adequate. We ate every day at the pub. The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location (on the beach) was amazing. The pub and beach are dog friendly.

Great place to stop over in the motorhome for a night or 2. Great location. Food was well cooked and fairly priced and beer was lovely. The new owners are in the process of making improvements throughout and have made a 24 hour shower block and toilets.

Excellent food, location, staff and parking. Chalets are right on the beach. Reason for 3 X was due to chalet cleaner being on holiday. Monday the chalet was immaculate. For a dog friendly, family friendly stay you will not find better. Ted

We stayed one night in our campvan. Had a lovely welcome from the owner in a very relaxed atmosphere. Good food, reasonably priced. Big plus is 24 hour access to toilets and showers for us. Free to stay if you buy food and drink in the pub.

Stayed here in my van for 2 nights beside the sea, ate and drank in the pub, the atmosphere was great, staff amazing, food yummy, even has a game room, comfy seating, beautiful new renovated toilet's! You can stay free in the car park as long as you do dine or drink in the pub, you have to put your registration in on a tablet, dogs allowed, its next to the beach with amazing views, a short walk to shop and chippy, also outside toilet's and showers and a cafe up the road, the new outside showers are amazing!! More new renovations coming aswell

Nice pub, lively atmosphere, popped in for a late lunch/early dinner as they serve food all day, after a walk along the beach. Food was excellent, fresh and tasty, washed down with a nice pint of Adnams Ghost Ship. Recommended.

A balmy Friday evening mid April, alfresco dining just the 4 of us.....simply delightful location in every way,... A bewitching atmosphere of happiness & friendship pervades this beachside watering hole . It was just the place & time for us to say 'so long' to Coastal Norfolk for another year.

Family run pub. Dog friendly. And what a lovely family they are! Always welcoming and service with a smile from all of the staff. This pub has stunning views of the sea situated looking down on the beach. Have been many times as we regularly stay in Bacton a 15 min walk away along the beach. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

Poachers Pocket, such a little gem! We stayed in our camper van in the car park over Christmas and even had a lovely Christmas dinner prepared for us! All the staff are just so nice and can’t do enough for you! Great selection of beers and ales too! We felt awful we couldn’t finish our dinner as the portion sizes are very generous. The dessert menu is excellent also! We’ll be back!

Visited by chance today after giving it a miss for many years. Presumably under new management and a work in progress but looks to me if this is going to be brought into the 21st century and has great potential. New hosts very friendly and customer focused which makes a pleasant change in the UK. I will be coming back and trying some of the more unusual pub foods on offer. A big bonus is how dog friendly it is and ideal end to a dog walk on Bactons lovely beaches. They deserve to do well in my opinion. I look forward to visiting again soon

Stayed here in my campervan and couldn’t have felt more welcome. The landlord is a lovely man and I believe he’s only had the place a year or so and is making great improvements. There’s a great games room with a pool table and air hockey. I had a couple of games of pool with one of the locals and a good laugh. Felt very safe there as a lone female traveller. The food was nice, the staff and the locals super friendly. Thank you for your hospitality, I hope to return sometime. Thanks Shaz P.s As I said I stayed in my campervan but it asked for a rating for rooms and I didn’t want their rating to be affected if I didn’t click on that so clicked on 5 as I don’t doubt that the rooms are lovely too.

Stayed April '24. Lovely stopover in out MH. Food excellent, good choice and on average price wise. Super friendly owners who, sadly for us, are moving on in July.

Stopped to use the loo after a long beach walk. Decided on impulse to stay for a drink and then chose to look at the menu and eventually had lunch instead of going home to cook. Surprisingly good and popular too. New owners from the look of it, lots of improvements going on, workmen on site. New lounge area, new floors, darts area, new loos too. Work in progress on the whole property. Should be a smart place to visit come the summer too especially if the food is as perfectly good as it was yesterday
