We had my Birthday lunch here.
The food was just amazing and very reasonably priced. Harry was very attentive and pleasant without being intrusive.
I cannot praise the restaurant highly enough.
Compliments to the manager/owner, Harry and the 2 chefs for an outstanding experience 👏.

The waiter was lovely and the steak was excellent, small menu on offer from what I thought was going to be available from pictures i saw online, a tad disappointing but quality of food made up for it...
The food was excellent and the waiting staff Michael and Harry gave a first class service. The live music was brilliant too. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in Ayr.
Was greeted by a lovely lady on arrival on Sunday 2nd July who very quickly showed us to a prime table, this was about 5pm. She was great serving us lovely drinks and recommending chefs specials. We had an extremely tasty fish dish which included lobster and roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings, they were both absolutely delicious so can highly suggest visiting this bar/restaurant.

Michael provided our Wedding Dinner and Evening Reception buffet. All of their food was served well, right temperature and tasted amazing. Our guests enjoyed their meal and we received many positive comments. Communication and professional service were all spot on too. And the value great also. I would highly recommend Michael and his team for any event. Great job, thanks a million.

Amazing lobster Mac and cheese! It’s is one of the new creations of this restaurant. Very generous portion of lobster meat. Must try at Ghillie Dhu!
Great bar, reasonable prices. Good atmosphere, I enjoy the music on a Saturday afternoon. Friendly bar staff, place is spotless. Looking forward to visiting soon 😀
Just had a lovely dinner and can honestly say service was outstanding!So attentive and friendl.,My granddaughter is 20months,the guy( sorry I didn't ask your name),seen me giving her a piece of ice,I commented she loves ice,he then appeared with a plastic cup of ice for her,sssoooooo lovely!Meal was delicious and certainly gave Bucks Bar a run for their money!!!!Will definitely be backx
Not a bad wee pub, The staff are very friendly & helpful.
We were there for a late lunch. Although there wasn't a great choice for the main course, we thoroughly enjoyed a meal from specials menu. We weren't sure if it would be too spicy for us, so the waitress gave us a sample of the sauce to try. Service was good as was the food. Wasn't too pricy either.
My husband and I came in for dinner tonight and just wow!!! Very rarely will I find a good blue steak...it truly was the best steak I have had..beats Miller and Carter...our meals were very beautifully presented and tasted incredible. The staff are so friendly and the restaurant is just beautiful inside. Highly recommend we will definitely be back xxxxxxx
Exciting menu and genuinely hard working staff. Barry puts in some solid graft too and is always welcoming. He makes you feel like you’re in Cheers bar!

One of the best places for food in the town! Highly recommend the street food menu. Speaking as a chef it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Not to mention the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t praise it enough! Well worth a visit!
