Visited the Wheatsheaf inn on Sunday afternoon lovely setting prompt service myself and my girlfriend both had home made Lentil soup which was brilliant then my girlfriend had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding plenty of sides came with it and she said it was amazing meat really tender I myself had the slices of fillet beef with haggis again with plenty of sides it was also beautiful great service and very reasonable priced
I've been coming here for over 22 years. It has a special meaning to me as my gran was born here, baptised, married and now buried in the churchyard. This was the house she grew up in and during the Second World War, she was evacuated back here along with my mum and my uncle.
So many happy memories being here in the village and eating in her old house.
The food is second to none and if I could give 11 stars I would.
Food is delicious, great choice and service is fast.
1st time for my wife and I and I can promise we will be regular. The pub was lovely, staff very nice and the food was absolutely superb. Very well priced and the portions were more than ample.
We met with friends and had a lovely lunch here. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Good size portions and piping hot. Service was great. We will definitely be going back.
Good food and lovely building. Nice beer garden
Excellent service. Lovely meal. Didn't know what a tablet was and the waitress bought out a sample for us to try. It was a sweet made from sugar and condensed milk
The food was amazing. Service was excellent and very prompt. Loved sitting outside.
Stopped off on our way to Glasgow. The pub itself has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend to everyone
