I was here down from Glasgow for the Ayr Airshow and as the bus queue back home was horrendous, I called into the Blue Lagoon and had a fish tea. The staff were both pleasant and attentive and the meal was absolutely perfect. Proper cooked chips , nice mushy peas and honestly the best fish I have ever tasted in my life. I even mentioned this to a lovely girl server and a very pleasant young man in glasses ( I’m sorry I never got their names). I love my fish and chips and I’ll probably be back on the bus on Friday to have another fish tea.

Stopped here for lunch today, good service, very clean and well laid out. Both ordered the BL fish tea, batter on the fish was light and crispy and the chips were tasty. Also tried deep fried black pudding, something that's been on the food bucket list for a while, it did not disappoint. Would definitely return (to try the deep fried mars bars and ice-cream, couldn't fit it in today) and recommend to others.

First time visiting Ayr and Blue Lagoon fish and chips restaurant, amazing food best fish and chips myself and my partner have had in our life, fluffy chips with a light crisp edge, tasty white fish in a crunchy batter that wasn't oily in the slightest. Would also recommend giving the battered haggis a try, extremely flavourful and in fantastic contrast with the crisp batter coating. Friendly and attentive staff that made sure everything was perfect for our lunch. Worth the extra couple minutes walk from the beach to visit this gorgeous restaurant.

Great food court/place (special credit to Clare-Kim-Sarah who proactively/ wilfully offered a store card with their names on it). It had been recommended by a close friend who is also a regional evangelist (community leader). A good place if you are out or about for work break; or simply just about any brief break. - Highly recommended for a truly personable (pleasant) service in a v.beautiful part of the country. ✅🥂

Great place for a tasty lunch for our family of 2 adults, 2 kids 4 and 13. Really good range on the menu and good value for money with bread and cup of tea included in the fish tea. A little wait for the good but when it’s cooked fresh to order that’s totally fine. Highly recommend the curry sauce which came in a massive gravy boat for us to share. We were served by Slobhan who was really friendly and always close by to sort out extra bread and drinks. Thanks so much!

Stopped in Ayr for fish and chips after coming back from a 3 week holiday in Ireland. My husband and I had the fish and chip special served by a lovely, attentive waitress called Siobhan. We couldn't fault the food or service we received. We would certainly recommend.

Popped in today for lunch and was treated very nicely. I was very pleased to see that they had a gluten free part of the menu which is very difficult to find otherwise. Anck, who was my waiter, was very kind and helpful. The chips made by Michael were made to perfection. Sara was very apt at cleaning the tables. Would go back again! All in all, very pleasant experience! Well done bBlue Lagoon.

Had a cracking fish tea. Chips were great and the battered fish was best I’ve had. Not greasy at all. Got a choice of mushy peas or beans. So we got one of each, wish we got two mushy peas tho, they were delicious. This beats the Anstruther chippy 👌

Visited for lunch, gluten free options available and wheelchair access was good. Mam doesn't do batter, but she ate the lot today. Great food, service and gift shop advice 🤗 Thank you Kim, Ali and Siobhan

Had a fish supper here tonight, wife had the scampi. I have to say, it was excellent. 2 full size fish, cooked to perfection, large portion of chips and mushy peas. Mmm Mmm MMM. Wife enjoyed her scampi. The place is absolutely spotless, nice friendly staff. I wish it was in my town, I'd be in every week.

Arek was very helpful and attentive. Gave us service with a smile and also recommended the deep fried Mars bar which was delicious. Staff where all really friendly. They all looked really busy but still maintained perfect customer service despite being rushed off their feet. The food was lovely 10/10 My daughter wants to give the lovely Arek 100/10 such a lovely lad. We will definitely be back for more😄 (Arek, Kim & Sara)

The food was great. I highly recommend their 'BL Burger', which I've had a few times. Also, their chips are very nice and, in fact, none of their Suppers have ever disappointed me. Didn't like the music in the restaurant but had headphones, so that was OK. Good servic, with a smile - so thanks for that!
