The West Kirk - Ayr - Photo album

This is a Wetherspoons pub and restaurant in Ayr but the building is unique and I've never seen anything like it. When walking past this place I had assumed it was just a church but I was surprised to learn it was renovated into a functioning pub. Going inside you could see how much love they put in
Recommended for the building alone really. It’s a JD Wetherspoons so you know the score , surely. Loads of ale on and serving food at reasonable prices. Open early too. Only had the one to take in the ambience. Not much going on in there but it’s a nice enough vibe for the one. Like i say, id recomm
Lovely friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast and choice of drinks. Stylish building and interior of an old church.
Visited Culzean Castle mid-covid. So my second visit was well worth it. . Now open again and free for NTS members. Lovely staff very helpful and full of information. The grounds are beautiful. Visit the Orangery such a nice tranquil corner of the gardens. An ice house, very cool! There is a shop,
A unique beer restaurant in the building of a former temple. Meat and beer are very well cooked here. This place is a local attraction. For a small town, it also represents a tourist attraction. Definitely, such a decision to place a restaurant in the building of a religious temple is surprising
It is lovely inside because they have kept most of the features of the church. Which is beautiful!
We only stopped for a couple of coffees but what a fantastic building. Staff great as always and love the spoon app,
A lovely restaurant. Pleasant staff and surroundings. Food is delicious and good value.
Myself, husband and children were passing on holiday when my eldest daughter said that's a weatherspoons we looked and decided to go in for dinner, what a place this is inside we were all in shock it's so beautiful. We used the app to order food and drinks which came quickly food was lovely and sta
A very busy place, at the top end of the Sandgate in Ayr, with a great atmosphere inside or there's a small seating area outside. As it's an old church, the architecture is beautuful. It's ideally situated for a meal & drinks before a theatre visit at the Gaiety etc. Drinks are cheaper than a lot
One of the nicest Wetherspoons we have been in. Lovely old building really well converted. All staff were really friendly.
Great place to eat, drink and meet friends. Can be very busy at times but if you have the Wetherspoons app it's a good queue jumper and you get served quicker. Great selection of food and drinks all set in a good atmosphere and comfy setting. Located centrally and close to the bus station. A good
Lovely pub, typical spoons tho, toilets on top floor, but made a change pittling above the pulpit of a church, but the decor and stained glass windows are fantastic.
I like it here. Good selection of real ales. The White Witch was pretty good. Had steak and a jacket spud which with a free 660ml bottle of Hazy Jane was good.
Came here nearly all week as on holiday in area brilliant spoons never had a bad meal and service was good! Good job guys 👍Free parking around the city/pub after 6pm nice old building!
Amazing transformation from church to Wetherspoons. Clean public areas. Good prices. Polite, helpful staff.
Visited for breakfast. You can order through an app and everything gets brought to the table. Food could do with being slightly hotter on this occasion but it was still nice and great value.
