Very nice meal in here today. We took our dog and the waitress couldn't have made more of a fuss over him, she gave him treats, water & brought him a blanket to lie on. Our dog never takes treats from anyone usually but he must have been able to tell she was a dog person. The food was gorgeous, the portion sizes were good and the whole place is nicely decorated and clean inside. We walked past it initially as it's right on the corner but I'm glad we found it. We decided to go as it's got good reviews on here, and we needed somewhere dog friendly. Our expectations were exceeded in every way, thank you.

Place has a nice appearance, staff friendly and efficient. They allow dogs, the night we were there they were very busy, we had quiet a wait for our food. The manager came over and apologised for the long wait, we had a complimentary cup of coffee, after a couple of minutes our food arrived. The pic's show that the food was very good or that we were very hungry. I'll leave that for you to decide. We will be back.

Visited this bar a couple of years ago & after an 18 month virus enforced absence I finally made it back. OK, not the cheapest bar in town but they have a great selection of craft keg ales. I've visited a couple of times during our stay & every time has been excellent. Only one slight downside, it appears they have new staff (training) & I wasn't too impressed with one of them. Overall the staff here are first class & this I'm sure is just a blip so hopefully they will not let standards slip, otherwise a 5 star rating. Keep up the good work everyone & don't let standard's slip.

Came here for a few drinks with my wife and a couple of family whilst visiting Ayr for a wedding. Really great service and good atmosphere. Good selection of beers and my wife said the espresso martini was the best one she ever had !

First time here but I'd go back. The service was really good. Personally I felt the portion sizes a little too much. Perhaps half portions could be a feature for those with smaller appetites. It was very quiet the night we were in but I can imagine the atmosphere being good. Would recommend.

Fantastic food, we had ribeye steak that was just great. Lovely wee girl who served us too, couldn't do enough for us. Would recommend.

Nice bar in Ayr. Good choice of beer, but prices are pretty steep. The barmaid had to ask someone who had a yapping dog to leave. Much appreciated.

Clean and tidy, well done out bar with friendly and helpful staff. The lit menu behind the bar was a little out of date on my visit. Some decent craft beers on, but not as much as I would expect from the name of the bar personally. Most of the selection is common beers you can get in the supermarket such as Brewdog and Beavertown. I was visiting the area, but don't think there is much competition in the craft beer scene from my research, so it's probably worth a visit if that's what you want, just don't expect the best from the UK scene. We had a few small bites to eat and that was nice.

Lovely little restaurant with amazing staff. Food was good, depending on the dishes ordered. The first night I went for the chicken burger with chilli and parmeadean fries. Although the taste was nice, it seemed a little underwhelming. HOWEVER, the second night I got the chilli chicken ramen and I must say it was amazing. Cooked to perfection with a lovely rich broth. Perfect for a cozy yet filling meal. Highly recommned to anyone wanting a hearty meal to good quality.

I’m used to having a ton of options for this kind of place down in London and the GROWLER TH&K really delivered. Great selection of craft beers, fantastic and perfectly suited decor, food is amazing and generous... and the staff are friendly and accommodating and always seem to go the extra mile! I don’t often go somewhere and find my self able to give it five stars as there are usually things that can be improved, but short of doing what they’re doing for free, this place has earned them, and some! Side note: hate to say it... but having read the reviews... the people that have left low starred reviews, might not really know what they’re talking about 😬 I mean if you are comparing this place to a spoons or consider £4/pint too much, stick to Wetherspoons, or maybe just your own living room!

We needed somewhere to talk business...somewhere to have coffee (coffee served in tiny poncey cups and over priced...sooo old fashioned).. and somewhere to grab something to eat.....¡¡BINGO!! Parked easily by the cinema, crossed at helpful traffic light crossing and strolled straight in to the Growler. 3 adults and a big dog. All welcomed and allowed in. Place was light, clean and comfortable. We got some fresh water for the dog and ordered our orders. Service was great, polite and quick. (All comments are based on a quiet sunny afternoon). Toilets were clean and tidy I have no opinion of recycling for here..

We had the meat sharing platter. It was amazing! Everything was beautifully cooked and very tasty. The desserts were also fab. Service was great with friendly staff. We would definitely return.

Great food, great beer... what’s not to like!? I had the magnificent beef burger and my wife had the 1/2 lobster for lunch, friendly helpful staff and well followed covid regs.
