We visited this restaurant whilst on holiday - 2 adults and 2 children. Was very impressed overall. Caters for all tastes and ages. Nice to be able to sample foods that you normally wouldn't have the confidence to order. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant itself is very well laid out and has a warm and luxurious feel. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
During my recent visit to Mr Basrai's World Cuisine in Ayr, I was excited to explore a wide range of culinary delights from around the globe. Located in a convenient area, the restaurant boasted an inviting atmosphere with modern decor. The extensive menu showcased an impressive variety of cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, Italian, and more. I indulged in several dishes, and overall, the food quality was commendable, with flavorful and well-presented options. The service provided by the staff was attentive and friendly, as they promptly took our orders and catered to our needs. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, with a comfortable seating arrangement and pleasant background music. In terms of value for money, the pricing seemed reasonable considering the generous portion sizes and the overall dining experience. Although I didn't encounter any standout features, the restaurant provided a satisfying and enjoyable meal. To improve, the restaurant could consider incorporating more unique offerings or adding some special touches to enhance the dining experience. All in all, I would recommend Mr Basrai's World Cuisine for those seeking a diverse and flavorsome dining experience.
There was 20 of us staying in nearby lodges for my Mum's 60th and we booked here for a meal on a recommendation. The staff were amazing and the variety of food suited everyone. The average cost pp was around the £20/£30 mark and that included our food and a cocktail which was great for a Saturday night out.
5 star for great value! And I get extra discount on top as NHS staff, even better! Food wise the taste is alright for buffet, and you can find a varieties of selection here even for lunch session. It is quite a big place inside with lots of seating. Good place for lunch (and dinner) definitely.
So good we booked for next night. As a pescatarian (don't eat meat) it was the best choice in a buffet. My husband had steak cooked for you and said it was amazing. Service spot on. Would defo recommend 👌
OK we had never been to a world buffet before where stood outside looking at what was on boards at entrance a member of staff came out to greet us and showed us to a table and explained that you basically helped yourself to any of the dishes that where out or if you wanted certain stuff it was made when you asked for it we started with soup and some spate ribs and prawn crackers and some poppadoms now comes the bit that was totally different each plate that we used was quickly removed and we where told just use a clean plate for next selection so for 3 of us a 5 course dining experience with unlimited soft drinks was 65 pounds and pennies Great food great service and a friendly atmosphere we will be back oh and unlimited whippy ice cream one of my favourites
We came to Ayr for a week and visited Mr Basrai's twice. First time we went was for my son's 7th birthday staff where so lovely even came out at the end of the meal with a cake with a candle.
Food is lovely so much choice. Even live cooking so you can have freshly cooked food from cheese burger, steak, seafood, tacos to pasta. We had freshly made cheese burgers and tacos.. both where very nice.
Desert selection is out of this world. Chocolate fountain soft ice-cream and the mini cream brulé was definitely a favourite 😋
Staff where all very nice friendly and welcoming Couldn't fault the customer service at all, 100% spot on!!
We had the glasshouse booked for birthday party. Buffet was delicious, service was top class. Place and food is totally different class since the new owner took over few months ago. 100 percent recommended. The glasshouse is recommended as well for private parties. Thanks for great service guys
This is, by far, the best value restaurant we have visited in Ayr so far. It cost £10.99 for the lunchtime buffet for two people (an October promotion, but even at £10.99 each it would be good value). The food was very delicious and the portion size was exactly right (but then it is self-service).... The baked yoghurt (a real thing) is the best, and made using the chef's own recipe. All the staff were friendly and helpful too. 10 stars out of 5.
Been here many times over the years, it's changed hands a few times but we always enjoy the food. Staff are friendly and polite too. Today's visit was to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday and she was surprised with a cake and candle and a cocktail. We can't thank them enough!
Amazing food especially from the live cooking stations. Marinated lamb chops were delicious. Sea food stir fry freshly made and was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome as visitors to the area. Much of the food was halal so we had a large choice. I felt the restaurant needed ventilation though, air conditioning was not on but the room felt it was becoming smokey. If we return to the area we will definitely be back! Thank you for a delicious meal after a busy day.
Absolutely amazing. The food was so flavourful and so fresh. Everything had distinctive taste and was hot! We were very pleased. Visited ayrshire and we are so happy we popped in. Friendly and welcoming staff. Really good value for money. Lovely decor.
Nice place with a large selection of tasty food. Good for a meeting with friends or a family dinner.
Would highly recommend a visit to Mr Basrai's. Went for a meal with my wife and 3 children and were made to feel very welcome staff were very attentive and we were made to feel very welcome. Great selection of food on offer will definitely be back next time we are in Ayr 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I've always loved the variety of this buffet, everyone can choose what they like. In previous years there was not much in the dessert section but now it has become exceptional! Well done!
Popped in on a whim for lunch. So glad we did, fantastic range of food and great service. As soon as a plate was empty it was gone. We took our 3 year old who was really well looked after by the staff team.
I would highly recommend a visit
We had a lovely time eating at Mr Basrai's.
2 Adults and 3 kids.
We were greeted with a warm welcome smile at the door and seated straight away. All the staff attending to us spent time chatting and made us very welcome. Food was hot and tasty with a great selection for the family. Would definitely recommend and return again.
