Great Pub. The timber furnishings really captured my eye. My wife and I had been holidaying in the area from Australia and the owner of the B&B where we were staying recommended this place. So glad she did. Meal was fantastic. If your in the area and hungry it is worth the visit.

Great little Pub, with some great home cooked hearty food. It has a very 'local feel' and a warm atmosphere, and don't expect to find any phone signal making it a place to sit and chat.. like the olden days! Sundaes to die for too!

Had a really nice meal in the Stair Inn tonight. The service was good and everyone very pleasant. There were lots of choices on the various menus and the food tasty, fresh and, well cooked. A nice friendly warm atmosphere. Will certainly visit again.

Lovely, cosy country inn with log burner, comfy lounge bar and spacious restaurant all featuring stunning bespoke furniture. The food was delicious and served piping hot. Rooms were comfortable and all areas were spotlessly clean. Friendly and very helpful and courteus staff. Well worth a visit.

Lovely small Inn at the crossroads in Stair, not far from Ayr/Mauchline. Very comfortable rooms, a nice bar area and small beautiful restaurant. Food excellent and service friendly and helpful. Must mention the beautiful rustic furniture throughout the hotel. Unusual seating in restaurant and bar and shelving in rooms. Highly recommended. Car park available and old church nearby to explore.

Visited Stair Inn today. Gorgeous Inn, spotlessly clean. Owner lovely guy and extremely helpful. Heather, waitress, was so friendly and an asset to the Inn. Going to be a regular place to visit on our weekend jaunts. Food excellent, freshly prepared and extremely edible.

Beautiful location surrounded by history from the Montgomery family who owned the old mine and hone works. The inn itself is a very friendly place and in summer always new faces to be seen with visitors.
