The food was delicious, great portion size, fresh and made to perfection. I restaurant was charming, clean, polite service and good variety of food. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. Wish I had time to go back before my vacation ends but sadly doesn’t look like I will be able to but maybe back soon.
I tried to have breakfast here but failed recently, so today I made up for it.
A huge breakfast, tasty as you like, perfect for me.
Whilst I had what I would consider a full fry it wasn’t greasy and I would thoroughly recommend it.
This place has a great vibe, but can get super busy so please bear with the staff.
The owner, well who I presume is the owner, is great, attentive without being intrusive and always has a smile.
I will be back
Everytime we come back to Ayr, we make the effort to go to Unity Grill at least once in the week. The food is always top notch, the staff probably couldn't be any friendlier and the general vibe is so relaxed and calm.
Pictured is the bacon stack with added beans and hashbrown, coming in at around £9 for the lot. Everything has so much flavour and is cooked well.
Using locally supplied beans, their coffee is equally as smooth and flavoursome as ever.
I would always go back to Unity Grill.
Was in Ayr for a few hours while husband was at football. Never been to the town before so walked around to find somewhere for my son and I to eat. Unity Grill looked like the best place we could find. Went in, great vibe, busy kitchen team working away in view of customers. Warm welcome from staff. Extensive menu with usual options and some really tasty alternatives and specials. We both had philly steak sandwich and a mug of carrot and coriander sup. Absolutely delicious and super fresh and tasty. Generous portions and well presented. Great value for money.
Spotlessly clean restaurant and toilets. Would highly recommend and if we come back to Ayr, we'll definately return!
Fantastic!
Amazing food, nicely presented and flavorful. Really good choice to suit everyone, whether meat-eater, vegan or vegetarian. Good choice of cakes. Prices not any higher then in other places. Staff are always great, helpful and polite. Restaurant is clean, comfortably warm and so are the toilets.
I love the decor. Good mix of music from "oldies" to modern and never too loud, not even if you sit right under the speaker.
The place attracts a good crowd and could get lively sometimes but it's never noisy - could have something to do with the message Unity Grill is sending out there and the people who come to enjoy their food?😊
Most importantly it's about us helping each other and I love to see the work the owners and staff are doing, and that people are supporting this good cause.
And it's not only about the social change but the environmental too. Their takeaway coffee cups are 100% compostable, even the lids.
Looks like you can do it if you care enough.
P.S. Their orange spiced hot chocolate - 👍🏻👍🏻l.p.
Excellent experience. First class, friendly service from the woman who served our table, an amazing quality food at a good price. Highly recommend.
Firstly, you can't book a table but they they give an approximate time, take your number and give you a buzz. Told half an hour and contacted in twenty mins.
Bit of a fall down in service at this point though, while the brunch menu is very extensive I don't need twenty minutes to make my mind up. Order placed it then took another half hour to get our food, this was in part due to a false start where we were presented with an incorrect order. It seems there was a mixup where the order for the previous occupants of our table was prepared instead of our order.
Once we had our food though it was excellent, you can see from the pictures that the appeal was there from the off. All the dishes were prepared really well and tasted great. I also had the mango mule mocktail and it was the perfect accompaniment. So after a slight false start they certainly made up with the quality of the food.
Definitely be back, there's so much more to try on the menu.
Unity Grill has such a cosy, friendly atmosphere that I visited here two days in a row! The food is awesome and everything we ordered was so tasty. I can highly recommend the grill cheese sandwich with extra bacon! Can't wait to go back. I think it's one of the best places in Ayr to eat.
Great coffee; in fact, probably the best cafe I've been to for coffee. The food and service is great as well.
And I believe it's a Social Enterprise, so money goes to helping people. (e.g. I know they put on a Xmas meal for the homeless and operate a food bank.)
A fantastic place with friendly staff and a great cause. Angela and the team do an amazing job every day!
