Very quaint little town with the Burns cottage as high lite of their existence. The coffee shop across the road from the cottage could be revamped considering the amounts of tourists they must be getting. The little post office/ convenience store next door was an absolute treat. Beautifully merchandised with excellent staff. I should be reviewing them!!

Lovely place to stop and have tea and scone. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I preferred sitting outside, inside felt a little bit cramped.

Lovely little café in Ayr; friendly staff with excellent food, service and coffee (in any order.) Will happily go back. Pro tip: parking is along the side of the road out front, but it's pretty limited so you may have to get a bit creative...

It's a bit spendy but overall good. "Milkshake" was just a chocolate milk, though so a bit of a letdown to my 12 year old The only free table that would sit our family was dirty. Took 10 minutes to clean it, and it wasn't super busy, so there was no real reason it took that long. Also, it wasn't clear if we were to seat our selves or not, we had to ask. The food was fine, though, and portions were good.

We had a delicious lunch at this characterful restaurant in Alloway. The soup, sandwiches and coffee were all very tasty. The staff were efficient and very welcoming. The restaurant is ideally placed for visitors on the Burns trail, as well as for local people. Thank you!

Superb authentic Scottish breakfasts and lunches with friendly service. Be wary of busy times as they get full quick - however not a problem as they offer takeaway. Great before or after a visit to Burns Museum!

We had a hot and cold buffet for 45 guests to celebrate our son's wedding the previous day. Everyone commented on how good the food was especially the cheese cakes and stroganoff. The girls were lovely and I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you Poets Corner.

This was my first visit to Poet's Corner and it won't be my last. I ordered a takeaway and got the cajun chicken panini (which I always get from cafes), haggis and cheese panini and chips. It was all so delicious. The chicken was generous slices and slightly spiced. One of the best in all the cafes I've been to. The haggis cheese panini had plenty of melted delicious cheese. Could have a little more haggis. I've seen a few pictures online of the chips and they all look different but I hope they do not change the supplie of the chips. They were crunchy and tasty with slight bits of skin still on them. Definitely order a side of them. The young girl serving was also super and attentive to everyone and was being helped and encourage by the other server. Lovely people!

Poet's Corner Alloway is simply my favourite coffee shop. Friendly staff, lovely home baking, great home made soup and light lunches. What's not to like! The daily breakfast- which is available all day on Sunday - is just great, and good value too.
