Pleasantly surprised! Was not expecting much as the outside looks a bit shoddy. The rooms have been refurbished and we're very nice. The breakfast was amazing and the lovely lady went out of her way and cooked it herself as our son has coeliac, to make sure that there was no cross contamination. The only thing with our room, it hadn't been cleaned and everything was covered in dust. Shame as it is something so simple to clean the rooms.

Came for karaoke night and the staff were amazing. The three ladies, Amia, Alex and another lady that I didn't catch the name of were absolutely fantastic, incredibly accommodating, great sense of humour, even while it was packed. Will be returning!!

Had a 2 night stay 29-31 July 2022,room really nice, toiletries inclusive, coffee and tea facilities,TV ,air conditioning,20 percent off food for being hotel resident., Price per night for a double or twin Room was £ 60. Only downside it was a bit noisy until pub below shut around midnight. Used a taxi firm called "Falcon Taxi Services" which were reliable and fixed prices for certain destinations. Highly recommendable for a stay there.

Lovely room with air conditioning. Pub looks a bit tired and needs a refit. Food is excellent value for money and well prepared. Staff attentive and polite. Pub needs a refit. Excellent for business and leisure as in middle of town with parking nearby.

They seem to be struggling with staff, one poor woman was delivering food and must have completed a week's worth of steps in a night! She did it with a smile! Food was great , loved the curry and the other half's steak was a really good piece of meat and cooked well. The staff deserve a medal as we still had a good experience.

Just perfect. The room is value for money and spotlessly clean. All the staff are so helpful and go that extra mile if required. At times the place has got very busy. We still felt that the staff were helpful and kept smiling with a nothing is too much trouble attitude. It's second time I have stayed here and I wouldn't hesitate to come back. Very central to town. Food is great value for money. Plenty to do! It's an old building steeped in character but does have a few steps to negotiate to get to the rooms, but just take your time staff will assist with luggage if you ask. Well done and thanks for a lovely stay. Several car parks close by and we found them not that costly!

One night stay for business. Twin room. Easy check-in, room on top floor so a bit of a climb but the room itself was clean with a spacious bathroom and a great shower. Restaurant - As with all Wetherspoon establishments I have frequented the food was great value and our choice included a beer. 2x chicken dinners with sides and a beer for a tenner each. What's not to like? English brekkie for less than £4. I would say the only negative would be the lack of onsite parking but there are lots of public car parks around and I was informed that roadside parking was free after 6. All told had a good experience.

Must have had a late and busy night as there were areas not hoovered and some dirty cutlery on the floor. That said, the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. Food ordered easily and delivered to table without delay. Nicely presented and very tasty - extremely good value.
