Incredible home cooked meals. We were all equally impressed. Wait time a little longer than normal but that's probably due to it being cooked compared to other places where it may be microwaved πŸ˜… would recommend. Amazing proper pie πŸ‘Œ
Don't know what the usual menu is like as were there for the taste of east devon event. All of the pork dishes were excellent, beautiful local pork cooked to perfection. Excellent beer but only one hand pump on.
Booked in for Sunday Lunch.. we had.. starters which were Lamb Kofta and Arancini followed by mains...Pork Belly, Topside of Beef, Chicken & Lamb Shank all fantastic dessert the girls had Apricot raspberry & coconut sponge and although they didn't have custard on the menu chef made it anyway πŸ‘, The
Visited here on Saturday and it was the best food I’ve had in a long time! Steak was cooked to perfection and tasted incredible. Service was amazing which is rare to find these days! We will be visiting again! Thank you ❀️

This was an amazing place the food was out of this world. Laura served us one Thursday and we can't praise her enough. Nothing was too much trouble so friendly and welcoming. The food was Michelin star worthy the fish fish in particular was well cooked and delicious. Well worth a visit.
Had a group Christmas meal at the night jar recently and absolutely loved it there. The food was delicious and plentiful, very friendly service which was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was so cosy and relaxing. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Don't overlook this hidden gem. Lovely ambience. Friendly and attentive staff and really tasty food. Great to have some different veggie options on the menu too. Will definitely add this to our list of places to take visitors.
What a spot!! Celebrating their 4 year ownership today and we're not surprised they are doing well. Lots of different activities during the month.We're on holiday and it was recommended. Nothing too much trouble. Food eas delicious. The chef/owner even made a special Peppercorn sauce for my husband
