My wife and I had an evening meal and were pleased to see a brand new menu! We really wanted to have a simple fish and chips but the other dishes were so tempting. We did go for the F n C in the end were delighted (again) with the quality of the fish and the oh so crispy batter! portions were generous and the premises warm and very relaxing. We have eaten here before and have NEVER been disappointed with the quality and skill of the chef. Great job and well done Bill, we will certainly be back!

After a wonderful evening, I just had to share how nice our experience was, even though there was a waiting time on food which the staff couldn't thank us enough for our patients, it was very much worth the wait. Food and wine selection was just to my taste and atmosphere was perfect after a long day on my feet. Thank you to the lovely staff for an lovely evening.

Great food. Great place. Food cooked to order so really fresh. Two of the best meals we have ever had. Will go back if in Seaton again.

Had a lovely meal tonight - steak night. What was great is that I have a tiny appetite and they weren't bothered that we shared one main meal and a dessert. So great with a nice Sav Blanc. They were very busy but we still had great service. Thanks!

Amazing food, great portions, very friendly and helpful staff. We went twice, if we'd have found it sooner we'd have gone more. Something for everyone! Thank you.

Great place to eat, we come down to our caravan at Beer on a regular basis and always fine time to visit, friendly staff and always feel welcome, can highly recommend the fish plank. Sadly it will be next year now for our next visit, looking forward to it.

Amazing food and excellent service. We had x1 Children's Fish & Chips, x1 Homemade Thai Fishcake and x1 Vegetarian Ravioli. Washed down with Birra Moretti. Couldn't fault it and worth every penny..... We'll be back!

Last minute decision to have a Sunday lunch here. From the moment I walked in to leaving I felt very welcome from the young team there. The meal (Sunday roast) was excellent and served quickly and beautifully prepared and presented.

Nice steak and chips smidge on expensive side for what you get but made up for by nice venue and decent location.

Great little pub, relaxed vibe and friendly efficient staff. Best of all was that our cocker was allowed to sit inside with us - the owners have a lovely dog who just chills in his bed by the bar. The fish and chips were amazing - not doused in grease like some places and everything tasted fresh.

New owners, new menu. Nice varied and interesting menu which is good. A welcome change to have different food choices rather than scampi and chips and ham, egg and chips. Didn't try the side of chips with truffle and parmesan, but probably very good. Staff still friendly and efficient.

The food was very good. The only critical observation was that the child's portion of cottage pie arrived bubbling hot. We were able to sort it out, but it may be worth reviewing how to reduce the risk of overheated food being served to young children. Having said that, I would definitely go back again.

Cozy and tidy. Pleasant customer service. Food was reasonably priced although the chicken coating could be a little more flavoursome but the chicken was cooked to perfection. The grilled sandwiches need longer for the heat to get into the cheese and tomatoes which were fridge cold. The fries were delicious. I would still recommend though, as not everyone has the same pallet.

What an absolute gem of a pub. We just popped in for a quick pint but was tempted to stay for the menu. Everything was home made, incredibly generous portions and we'll executed. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the pub was quiet and relaxing. We're going to go back again soon.

We were unfortunately unable to book first time round and being advised we may be able to get a table later we turned up at 8:40pm to be told food service finished at 8:30pm (this was due to it being fully booked, so was only on the off chance, but was no less disappointing - as it happened we drove to Seaton and had a very nice Indian meal at Monsoon). We booked for the following night and I'm pleased to say it was worth waiting for, the staff were delightful, the food was fabulous and the pub itself is a lovely place to be, they almost had to have us evicted at the end of the evening (10:30pm). To top it all off if you are staying at Axmouth campsite it is literally on your doorstep, too good to miss but booking definitely recommended! I would also recommended the pizzas, we shared one as starter and it was a lot bigger than the 12" quoted on the menu and was literally dripping with cheese, delicious!

Friendly, welcoming pub, good service, comfy areas to sit with free wi-fi. Menu choice OK, could make choice of sauces say with chicken but enjoyed the food we ordered.

Popped in here for a quick drink with friends. Was happy it was very dog friendly and the staff really welcoming as well. Plenty of parking and located in a few steps of the estuary and other scenic sites.

Lovely quaint pub. Staff very pleasant & helpful. We had the roast beef & lamb which was very nice. The only negative for me with my meal was that the roast potatoes & Yorkshire pudding were a little over done for my liking, but could have been down to the time of day, 3.15pm, when we visited. Would definitely visit again
