This was the first time we had visited this pub it certainly won’t be the last, the menu has something for everyone, lots of delicious starters the Brie and white bait were very good and for the main course 2 of us had steak, 1 had steak and turf and the other had fish pie, all were delicious, the desert menu also looked good but we were to full to try them this time. Our waiter was really nice, friendly and helpful and the pub has a nice ambience.

I have just visited The Ship Inn with my family and our dog, and I can honestly say, that not only was we all given such a warm welcome by all members of staff, but the food was outstanding, my girls said it was the best pub meal they have ever had. Myself and family, and not forgetting our dog, all fully recommend a visit to this wonderful pub.

Visited the Ship Inn with the family last night and was very impressed. Great food and service from the friendly and helpful staff. Was very busy but didn’t have to wait very long for our food. All 4 meals amazing and plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely be back soon!

First time here for a long while. Food was excellent. Staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. Booking is essential. Only thing I would say was more detail on menu as to how it's served and what with.

Fantastic food, great value for money, and lovely service! We really enjoyed our visit here. Be aware that the food is cooked freshly to order, so it isn't necessarily "fast" to arrive, but it is definitely worth the wait! We had the Scallops and Bacon and the Sole which were both delicious and plentiful 😋.

What a wonderful menu. So many choices. Tasted fabulous. Friendly staff. Good size portions. We booked as had two dogs with us too. Glad we did as obviously a popular place to eat. Regretted not returning the following day - we chose somewhere else for holiday variety and it wasn't a patch on this place!

Had the most lovely Sunday roast here today with my family. Excellent menu and the roast dinner was beautifully cooked, and tasted fabulous. The nicest meal we have had in a long time with fabulous service. It’s not surprising you have to book here but it’s well worth it. Would highly recommend.

We came as we we’re passing through and saw that was open so we were hungry and decided to park. Very cosy atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food was superb specially the Belly Pork (pls check the photos) it was one of the best belly porks I have ever had! The burger was good as well only that I asked medium rare and it came well done besides that it was a brilliant experience and we’ll definitely recommend this place to others. They’re pet friendly!! 🙂

I was very impressed with this pub. I has been renovated since l was last there nice and modern. The food was very good as was the service. The smell when you walked in was mouth watering and the place was very busy even on a Tuesday lunchtime. The staff we excellent and very helpful. Will definitely go back.

Visited this lovely Inn when in Devon and can highly recommend. The large Sunday roast was delicious and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor seating area is lovely on a sunny evening. We revisited for another meal as enjoyed it so much 😋 . Very reasonably priced as well for such quality food.

Visited here whilst camping to escape the rain and I was so glad we did! The food was delicious and well worth the price. The staff were lovely but seemed quite stressed with the workload as the pub was very busy! Would improve the atmosphere if the staff weren't spread so thin. It also wasn't communicated to us that we had to pay at the bar and so we were sat around for a while waiting for the bill so that could be improved.

Visited this pub by the river for our last evening meal of the holiday. Oh, how we wish we had found it sooner! Great dog friendly Inn, lots of seating for eating inside and out. Car park a bit tiny considering the popularity but we managed to get in. Recommend you book your meal! Portions very generous and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, offering us samples of the chips and a recommended local beer. Fabulous customer service! Wish we had skipped the starters as we barely had room for dessert. Absolutely delicious food, piping hot and so obviously home made. Scallops and skate wing were very fresh and the steak and kidney pie had a beautiful duet crust pastry, full of meat and rich gravy. Don’t miss out when you are in the area.
