Ended up at the Lamb after a cycle trip along the strawberry line, very pleasant pub, sat outside with my family and watched the world go by whilst eating the best burger. I will definitely be doing it again.

Really welcoming and friendly. We had our two young kids with us (4 & 3) and the board games on the bar kept them entertained whilst we waited for the restaurant to open. We weren't disappointed. The food was lovely with fast service. We would heartily recommend The Lamb to anyone!

We came for a Sunday roast on 17 September, group of six including vegan and vegetarian. We had beef, pork and vegan/vegetarian options. Food was outstanding. Service very friendly and helpful. Nice calm chilled atmosphere for a Sunday lunch. Cost varied between person depending on drinks and sides. Happy with cost for the quality of food and service.

We had a lovely meal followed by watching the Butcombe Festival of Laughs. Such fun! I love the olde English style decor. My aged steak was cooked to perfection, with a side of broccoli with almonds which was divine. It's a great place to sit outside on a sunny afternoon and watch the world go by in the beautiful village square.

We were very lucky to get a last minute table on Easter Sunday but we're very pleased that we did. The roast chicken was replaced with roast turkey, which was excellent. And the same was said of the roast beef. In fact we thought this was one of the best roast pub lunches we'd had for a very long time. Something so many pubs fail on. Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was also an Easter egg hunt (for the children of course...) which was an added bonus. The pub has a great atmosphere with many original features. It was really popular, especially with passing cyclists. Highly recommend, though best to book in advance.

Our second visit of recent times and again warm welcome, great service and tasty food. The small sized haddock and chips was just the right size to leave room for the delicious chocolate brownie with coffee icecream for after. We look forward to going again.

Our night at The Lamb last night was just amazing!! Greet atmosphere, fabulous food and the Butcombe Festival of Laughs entertainment had us in stitches. It’s a great achievement to bring such great entertainment to local pubs. We met some lovely people and always enjoy our time at Butcombe pubs. We’ll done to all the team.

We have enjoyed a few meals recently, always enjoyed the local pub in the past and it is a huge asset to Axbridge!! Tonight a last minute birthday booking for two & we both opted for the Bbq brisket , shallots, jacket potato & salad. Simply perfect, absolutely delicious. Thank you, the staff behind the bar so friendly & helpful - huge thanks to chef 😋 see you soon

We walked to The Lamb in Axbridge for an early evening dinner. We managed to get a table overlooking the square. Good range of drinks including a very nice French rose wine. Menu offered lots of choice. Our meals were well presented, full of flavour and definitely not what you’d necessarily expect from a pub. The manager has really turned this pub around and is working hard to bring in a lot of new young staff.

My family and I had the pleasure of eating here on Sunday 22nd October. I had called the Lamb Inn at 2.30pm whilst we were in Paignton Zoo in the hope of a table for four that night at 6.30pm. Holding out little hope at such short notice the receptionist placed me on hold to check with her colleagues and amazing she arranged a table for us at 6.30pm. When we arrived we were shown to our reserved table and offered a menu. We ordered an assortment of ciders, soft drinks and cocktails which promptly arrived and then ordered food. Reading the menu it all sounded delicious but my daughter was hoping for a Sunday roast. She is a vegetable and gravy loving monster, but due to the time this was no longer being served. Seeing her disappointment I asked the staff member if it was possible to have a Sunday roast and she stunned us by saying that she would have it made especially as long as we didn't mind receiving a multitude of different vegetables instead of the ones in the menu, my daughter was over the moon. When the food arrived it looked amazing and tasted delicious. The Sunday roast was staggering. There were mountains of vegetables, crispy potatoes, parsnips, cabbage and peas and two large thick slices of beef hidden under a huge Yorkshire pudding smothered in gravy. Then the waitress brought out a full boat of gravy just for my daughter. Just above and beyond. Thank you everyone working at the Lamb Inn you are all a credit to your employer. Keep up the great five star customer service.

Booked for Sunday lunch with friends and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Atmospheric and welcoming pub, with friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff. The traditional Sunday roast was faultless, three of us had roast pork with cracking and huge Yorkshire puddings. One of our group opted for quiche, from the daily specials selection, and was equally pleased. Great range of beers and ciders of course. What really stands out is how well service works; the staff are all friendly and helpful as well as being extremely efficient and well managed. Highly recommended

Probably the best pork Sunday roast I've ever had. Unfortunately, I had to leave the crackling because of my teeth.

Took our bikes for spin to have lunch here. Astonished at the amount of vegan options and really enjoyed everything we tried - the chips alone were a delight! They're also dog friendly and have a truly lovely, real traditional pub ambient with lots of locals coming in for a pint. All in all, very relaxed with superb food!
